Great replacement product, however before buying this to fix an electrical problem on the razor quad, check your 10.00 on off switch. The switch itself malfunctions and causes electrical problems that lead one to believe it's the stator or acceleration cable.

I purchased this to convert my daughters mx350 to a variable throttle instead of the on/off throttle it came with. It was able to bolt in more or less without issues, but there are a few things to keep in mind. If your battery has three wires in its harness, this should charge no problem. The small gauge wire in the third terminal is for charging. Cutoff switch is needed, as the unit operates directly off the battery connection, so if you don't have a sub harness that runs to the switch (the mx350 doesn't) youll need to either add a relay or use a switch rated for the current. 350w motor at 24v is roughly 14amps, so I just used a 20a rocker and I was able to find a direct drop in. No ground wire is present for the rocker illumination, again not a problem I just added it to the battery ground. Overall it was maybe an hour of modifications to the wiring and ten minutes of install time. This was certainly a better option to update the throttle without needing to change the operating voltage which is what you find with other controllers. Giving it 5 stars for now, as I got exactly what I paid for and I knew what I would need to do to fit my use.

Bought this speed controller for my son's Razor 4 wheeler. Installed unit and it worked for a little over one charge. The battery went dead, charged it, and my son rode the bike for about 5 minutes and it died. Contacted Amazon and another controller arrived in about 2 days. I was impressed, that is until I opened the package and the so called " new" controller already had a bolt Installed in one side where someone had already installed it indicating it had already been installed and didn't work. And sure enough it didn't. They sold me a re- wrapped inoperable unit, and considering the time they last, they could have sold me a used unit the first time because they don't last long enough to get dirty. Save yourself the frustration and purchase elsewhere. DO NOT BUY!!!

The "compatibility" table for this says its compatible with the Razor Pocket Mod, but this was not a drop-in replacement. There are 2 issues: First, the throttle control cable is about 4 inches shorter than the OEM throttle control cable. This matters because a) the new one doesnt reach and b) there has to be some slack so to allow for movement when steering. My fix here was to solder on an extra 4 inches of cable. I ended up using cat5 network cable since it is about the same thickness and has a total of 8 wires (the throttle needs 6 wires). Second, the controller power is "always on", where the OEM controller has wiring explicitly for the power switch. My fix here was to cut the power cable's red wire and send that to the power switch and back. Aside from these 2 fixes, things work great!

Arrived on schedule and installed that day. Worked perfect in 2017 Razor Dirt quad 24 volt model 19. Easy to install, took less than an hour and I am next to zero mechanic.

I only ordered 1 control kit for $60 and they sent me 2 control kits for $120 an extra $60 that I didn’t want to pay other than that the shipping was normal and the new controller works good
