Parental Alienation is Abuse!
B**S
Practical, real and pointed!
David's insights into parental alienation cut right to the cruelty of this ignored wave of child abuse. If you are an alienated parent or facing what "could be" alienation, he has unfortunately lived it and can hopefully guide you along as to possible suppression or prevention. But if it's "too late" and the alienation has already taken hold, his writings and experiences through an agonizing and painful international child abduction/alienation will take you through the emotions, the court system, and provide insights into the toxic elements that unfortunately surround this abusive behavior. Whether you are a counselor, psychologist, attorney, judge, friend, family member or alienated parent, this is a MUST read. (Written by someone who has found a bit of peace knowing that I am not alone!) Unless you have experienced this unfortunate and abusive dilemma, this gives needed insight that far surpasses the thinking of the majority of the "child abuse" industry.

Powerful words written from experience
David Shubert's words bring a lot of solace to parents who have to deal with being separated from their children who are victims of international parental child abduction and alienation. Despite the havoc it wreaks on innocent children and adults alike, both are rarely acknowledged as wrongs. David eloquently explains why tearing children from half of their heritage is child abuse, and his powerful words also offer strength and solace for left-behind / alienated parents to hang on.

Rambling, journal-like
This apparently self published 'book' seems to be the original journal entry observations of one man's feelings after his partner abducted their very young children to Australia. There seems to be no precipitating problems that should have notified him in advance that this would happen. Nor does he or his ex-partner appear to have had any of the personality disorders that later in the book, he discusses. It also appears from his comments that he began posting his writing to a support group or blog. And, after getting positive feedback, began to feel that he was an expert and could talk about various topics of interest to Alienated Parents; which is a completely different thing involving a narcissistic or borderline personality disordered parent covertly working on the children to cause the children to hate, reject, and denigrate the otherwise normal, loving and available parent. The problem I have with his writing is that not only does it become boring, with some strange grammatical errors that are repeated frequently: such as the term 'of which ' used everywhere, incorrectly; and unnecessary terms like 'many times ' repeated so many times it gets to be annoying (pun intended). But the worst problem is that he attempts to appear as an expert in NPD! He gives completely incorrect information about this and other personality disorders! He talks about the frequency of it, gender frequency, etc., all of wrong. He does get some of the generally well known symptoms correct. But he is not trained in mental health issues, nor does he appear to have lived with a NPD disordered person so that he'd be familiar personally with what it's like. So, while I am very sympathetic to his plight, he shouldn't discuss other matters in which he has no experience.

I have been a "fan" of David Shubert's writing for ...
I have been a "fan" of David Shubert's writing for many months through Facebook and his multiple websites. He has captured the broken "heart of the matter" in his story with a TRUE title: Parental Alienation is ABUSE. I should know; I have been victimized as well. Thank you David for your candidness and sensitivity. A WORLD of alienated parents need your book for understanding their dilemma and for comfort.
