The heat gun stores the temperature as long as the power supply is not interrupted. You can switch it on and off as often as you like; it then saves the last temperature setting used.

Excellent small heat gun for heat shrink tube

Excellent small heat gun for wire heat shrink tubing Has two combined heat/ fan settings. Decent length power cable. Mains powered only 240v Light wait unit and small in size Fold away wire stand allows upright use of gun and can be clipped away when not in use. Note: Be aware metal end nozzle gets hot quickly and has no shield to prevent burns if metal end nozzle is touched to anything.

Thought this was great vertical stand. Used twice and it blew the fuse plus makes unusual scary noises.
