Great coffee, poor durability
I'll start off with the good news. This pot makes a fine cup of coffee, every time. I fill it with basic coffee, and am spoiled. Starbucks tastes nowhere near as good as my cheap coffee brewed in this pot (though Pete's seems to be on par). It's easy to make the coffee, way easier than a drip machine to clean. It also seems to be an efficient use of coffee. We don't waste a bunch of grounds making a big pot.I have two problems with the pot's design. The main problem is that my pot didn't last long. After just about 3 weeks the handle partly melted. About a week later, it broke right off where it attaches. I use a gas stove, and assume the problem was that the flame was too wide, though I was using one of the smaller burners. If you have an electric stove you may not have the same problem. The second problem is a pet peeve of mine about coffee pots in general, and this one is no different. When you pour, the coffee trickles down from the lip and dribbles on the counter. If I hold the lid slightly open when pouring, this seems to minimize the problem, and sometimes I can get a clean pour. Just make sure you don't reach over someone to give them a nice hot refill, because some of it may land on their lap.

Makes the perfect coffee
Love, Love, love! It is much smaller than I expected but it does make the best espresso. Although I place this on the smallest gas burner, it is somewhat stable but the flame has to be turned down low, so not to burn the handle; so I will probably purchase a second larger pot. In action...this is the best for espresso!!! The aroma fills my kitchen and it really does make the perfect espresso. It is light and easy to clean. I am from Europe and miss great coffee in the USA. This has completely solved the problem and mornings have become pleasant once again for my entire family. In addition; you will receive excellent 5 star customer service; upon ordering this item, I received a lovely 'thank you' email, followed by an email explaining how to make the best coffee, how to clean it and how to take care of the item. All of which was really healpful and most welcomed advice. If your looking for something quick to make your early morning fix..this is not for you! If you are looking for the PERFECT cup of coffee and great customer care and service...this is your best deal. Enjoy!!

Got what I paid for
So I wasn't expecting a whole lot given the price, but after using it for a while I ended up going back to my smaller, but better functioning, coffee pot. My two main problems are that it leaks from the middle when I pour the coffee out, and I have to use pliers to get the filter out to empty the grounds. I bent a piece up to be able to grab it and it was still near impossible to get out. The coffee isn't bad, it's just a pain to use. I would say spend another ten or fifteen dollars and get a better one.

This products is priced right, looks good, and appears to function as designed however the materials that the handle are made of is a flimsy plastic that feels as if it could break at any moment. This is a safety concern for me as it will have hot liquids in it. Additionally the bottom is forged metal and is extremely pitted with what looked like rust and other forging materials. I was concerned about drinking out of this because of the rust. Possibly this one was just a bad one however I would recommend thinking about spending an extra $10 to get a superior quality coffee maker made in Italy. This product is made in China.

It's ok
Works as you would expect. Three stars because this was a simply average product. It works as designed and I have no issues. Does not hold a whole lot aid water so you are able to brew a small amount of coffee. It's made of aluminum so it gets pretty hot. It has a tendency to spill out of the side vent when you pour your coffee. It i breaks down easily and and is not difficult to clean. Although it was priced reasonably I would seek another alternative or this would work great as part of your camping gear.

Coffee tastes good. Low heat on electric range takes way too ...
Ok so far, hoping to get crema with my next attempt. The top of the pot does not align 100% either. Coffee tastes good. Low heat on electric range takes way too long, not much difference in final result with higher heat and it was quicker.Update: medium heat works well, and I'm really loving the coffee this pot produces. Apparently expecting much crema is unrealistic with this type of pot.

5 star coffee
Excellent rich, strong coffeeFinding or making good coffee is one of my favorite things in life- Cuban coffee in Miami, coffee in New Orleans, Vietnamese coffee made with an old-fashioned French pot....This stovetop pot is a keeper. It makes rich, strong coffee that is delightful. I bought it because it is much like the pot our Italian immigrant neighbors had, a pot that introduced us to the joys of espresso, in the years before the espresso franchise epidemic. The coffee & this pot were as good, perhaps a bit better than that coffee they shared. One suggestion for improvement-the handle got a little hot. Perhaps a bigger handle, not made from plastic would work better.

Nice coffee maker and excellent customer service!
Nice product, especially for the price. Works just as it should. The finishing work is a bit rough, which is the only reason I gave this a 4 instead of a 5.The seller is extremely helpful and quick to respond when I contacted him with questions. The customer service is exceptional. If you have wanted to try an Italian Moki pot but found them too expensive, this product is a very good alternative!
