Took this bad boy crabbing in the SF Bay Area, it was pissing rain for 9 hours straight and I was the only one with a dry t-shirt under my jacket at the end of the day. Took this thing to Taipei and rode scooters through a typhoon for 2.5 days, same result. Buy it, Grundens are top notch.5'10 175 lb bought a M and it fits great with room to spare underneath.

The foul weather jackets I usually wore commercial fishing were heavy and bulky. This jacket is just as durable and weatherproof, but lighter, with great flexibility and a soft, comfortable lining.I live in western Washington, and have used it for nearly 2 years now. It's been through many cold rain storms, and the seams and lining are still perfect. If I ever wear it out, I'll immediately get another one. Just a fantastic rain jacket.

The jacket is a combination of a soft shell jacket and a thick PVC jacket. Waterproof and the fit is spot on. Just enough pockets and by the way it looks good.

This is an exceptionally waterproof jacket.

Its an awesome jacket if you're on a fast paced boat. It is light as can be and keeps you dry all day without making you sweat. Offshore in Maine in January its just fine with a hood and a thermal long sleeve under it. I'm sure it will be great for rainy spring/summer days too. Probably half the thickness if the balder and similar grundens coats. That being said, if you have old rusty gear this coat will be ruined by the 3rd string of the day.

Went to Alaska for fishing trip, need rain gear for that. This jacket was perfect for trip. If I lived in a rainy place I would wear it daily.
