Album No. 8

I bought this as a third LP in the Amazon 3 for £55 offer. I am absolutely amazed by it. Songs are beautiful, soft and touching. I recommend it if you want to sit down in a dark room and relax with a wine in your hand.

I like several of the songs on this album, particularly "Leaving the Mountain" and "Heading Home" but none of them sounds like it is, or was intended to be, a hit single. It is a good album to listen to, all the way through, after days when you've been dealing with property matters, the omnipresent threat of covid and biopsies for more personal and potentially-lethal conditions. If I actually wanted to be cheerfully bucked up, I'd probably be listening to a Kate Rusby album anyway but if what you need to do is subside for a bit, Katie Melua's Album No 8 is excellent.

Didn't expect it to come in cardboard packet. So looks cheap which is a shame as its a christmas gift

I had this on my Christmas list but alas I didn’t get it, so I bought it for myself!! I have other Katie Melanie CDs all of which I really like and this is no exception. It is slightly different to others that I have - very soft, relaxing and beautiful. Great as background music too. There’s nothing not to like. Since I have received it I’ve played it time and time again and haven’t got bored with it one little bit. Very well produced and her diction is, as always, near perfect. Very highly recommended.

Christmas present for hubby, he's a fan of her music.

Delivered on time in perfect condition, not her best album but grows on you.

Bought for me but my wife plays it endlessly. Lovely songs and, just like her Christmas album, In Winter, I am soothed and made melancholic. Something about the timbre of her voice that does it for me. Long may it last.

Long time follower of this artist, love the new album it is much different then the other ones but well calibrated with her own personal touch.Bravo for evolving in your musical talent.(But that's my opinion)
