The Three Silly Billies

One of my new favorite kids books of all time. Fun to read, great story with all the classic story tale characters, and the art work is hilarious if you pay attention. Both my 1 and 4 year old like hearing this story over and over again, plus it is a long enough story to have a one and done book....... but that never happens. Lots of tongue and cheek humor that is both funny for the kids and the adults, so one you will reach for time and time again. Pay attention to the bear's shirts and the goat's car pool!

This book is one of several we have purchased by this author for our 3 year old grandaughter. It is based on the tale of the Three Billy Goats Gruff and the troll. The goats have no money to pay the toll to the troll so they decide to pool their money with other fairy tale characters who come along to cross the bridge. The verse is witty and full of double entendres which makes it funny to both children and adults. You will not mind reading this book over and over again. The artwork is nice too. We also recommend Piggy Pie, Earthquack,and Bad Boys by this author.

Super idea of combining fairy tales with fun fun fun. Should become a classic on its own!

this is absolutely a family favorite. The illustrations are hysterical in addition to the very clever dialogue in this version of the story!

Collecting as many versions of THE THREE BILL-GOATS GRUFF for my soon to be kindergartner to augment his future curriculum. This is great!

I adore this book and my students loved it.

This book is definitely in my top five favorite books to read to my two boys. I've checked this out at the library so many times that it's finally time to buy it here to keep it as a permanent fixture on our bookshelf. It's silly, a clever story, fun rhyming, and the illustrations still make my boys laugh even after several years of reading this together. If your children enjoy fun rhyming stories that are based on classic tales like my boys do, another favorite is the Three Cajun Pigs.

Ms Palatini did a wonderful job at combining several fairy tales-nursery rhymes into a very cute book. At times making a play on words "Add your three cents in" "hit the road, Jack" that makes it fun for an adult to read too. My almost 3 year old granddaughter giggled and laughed while her Mama read this to her a few days ago and she did it again tonight when I reread it to her. A fun twist on old classic tales
