Best natural skin moisturizer
After researching all the chemicals and additives in regular lotions, I have been trying to find a more natural alternative to moisturize my skin for about a year. It seemed like everyone loved using coconut oil as a moisturizer, so I gave it a try. Iโve tried using coconut oil during two separate seasons (winter and summer), and each time it dried out my skin and made it flaky and scaly! Iโve tried making my own body butters using cocoa and shea butters, but they went on so greasy and the moisture never stayed, even when I applied it to damp skin. My skin would always be ashy again in a couple hours. I tried using just plain avocado or olive oil on damp skin, but I got the same results as the body butters. I even thought about buyin โall naturalโ lotions from a few different companies, but the prices are ridiculously high for only a few ounces and I knew I would run through them quickly. A couple weeks ago, while I searched once again for a natural moisturizer, I stumbled upon vegetable glycerin on Amazon. I think I had maybe heard of it before but never gave it much thought, probably thinking it was a cooking ingredient or something. After looking at some reviews, I saw that people not only used it for their skin, but their face, hair, and scalp as well. I decided to try it as a last ditch effort before I would bite the bullet and buy the expensive natural lotions. THIS GLYCERIN IS MY NEW HOLY GRAIL. Itโs kind of hard to explain the consistency but itโs the PERFECT combination of moisturization without the greasiness. It looks like an oil but itโs much more dissolvable. Itโs even a water-soluble so I put some in a spray bottle and used it on my hair. It helped to keep it moisturized and looking shiny. As far as using it for my body, I use it all over on damp (not wet) skin. This glycerin even withstands the scratch test! For those of you who donโt know what that is, itโs when you scratch your leg or your arm and if it shows up ashy then that means you know you need some lotion. I can put this glycerin on in the morning and by the nighttime thereโs no ashiness or dryness on my body (and this is during the harsh winter months). Itโs perfect because itโs not greasy at all so I know this will be a great moisturizer for the summer as well. I havenโt tried this on my face because itโs pretty sensitive and Iโm not sure how it would react. However as far as my hair, scalp, and body it works like a dream. Iโm so glad I finally found a natural moisturizer that works!

Great product, 100% pure.
I bought this product for one purpose only, to make my own makeup setting spray. I love setting sprays but they are very expensive and I like being able to control what goes on my face. I saw on Pinterest I can make my own Mac Fix+ dupe using just water and vegetable glycerin. The bottle arrived quickly and well packaged. The bottle is humongous so it's going to last forever. The glycerin is crystal clear and thick enough to be useful. I love that it is suitable for vegans and free of; sulfates, parabens, petrolatum, dyes and phtalates. For my recipe I mixed up 1 part glycerin and 2 parts distilled water and a scant teaspoon or so of witch hazel to cut down on the stickiness. I also added two drops of peppermint and one drop of tea tree oil for it's anti-bacterial properties. I have to say this setting spray works just as good as the many store bought ones I've tried and cost just pennies per travel sized bottle. (Don't make in large batches as it says it's only good for up to 3 weeks). I am now going to be researching other uses for this stuff such as makeup primer (I'f anyone knows and recipes, please comment on my post). I was lucky enough to receive a discount for testing and review.

Great Product, No Issues
I bought this because this is what my wife asked for. She says, "I wanted this to make my own facial care products (cleanser & moisturizer), shampoo, a leave-in conditioner for my daughter and a lotion. So far I have used it for face wash and the leave-in conditioner. I am very pleased with it. I love that it is derived from plants (no animal sources), is non-gmo and is safe for my family to use! It came in on time and was packaged nicely, no issues. Everything was done top-notch. I will definitely be buying this again... this is a perfect addition to a chemical free household."

It is what it is...
From the manufacturers website.. "Vegetable glycerin is a natural emollient that adds a cooling effect on the skin and has become a predominant ingredient in most skin care products and soaps. It is used in cosmetics and body care products to assist in retaining moisture and is helpful in pulling oxygen into the skin. Vegetable glycerin is also the principal medium for the manufacturing of non-alcohol based herbal extracts, which are called glycerites. This makes for a sweet alcohol free extract that can be easily administered to children, animals and those with alcohol sensitivities. Kosher certified and suitable for food and cosmetic use."

My acne prone skin loves it!
I have been using this vegetable glycerin for almost a month now and the results on my face (acne prone skin) are awesome. In a liquid soap dispenser I mixed 1/4 cup of liquid Castile soap (this is the one I use Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps Pure-Castile Soap, 18-in-1 Hemp Unscented Baby Mild, 32-Ounce Bottle ), 3 tablespoons of distilled water and 3 tablespoons of vegetable glycerin. I wash my face with it twice daily (morning and before bed), and then I use my homemade tonic, made with one part of organic apple cider vinegar (I use this one that I actually buy in the supermarket Bragg Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar, 32 Ounce - 1 Pack ) and 1-2 parts of water. Then I moisturise with cold press organic jojoba oil. Like I said before, I have acne prone skin and My face is now clean. I only have to work on the two tiny little pimples I still have, because even the spots are disappearing. I totally recommend this vegetable glycerin to anyone fighting against acne. This highly versatile, hydrating oil has become essential to my daily skincare routine. Unlike other oils, it leaves my skin hydrated without any greasy residue. One of the things I love about this product is its multi-tasking abilities. It can be used as a hair tamer, face moisturizer, or nail oil. The possibilities are endless! I never worry about running out of uses for this fantastic product. Its impressive certifications set this glycerin apart from others on the market. It is 3rd party, Non-GMO Verified, Vegan Certified, and Animal Cruelty Free. This not only gives me peace of mind knowing that I am using an ethically sourced product but also reassures me of its high quality. Another great feature of this glycerin is its excellent emollient qualities. It is perfect for making homemade hand sanitizers or soaps. Its hypoallergenic properties make it suitable for all skin types and easily dissolve in water, making it convenient to use. I also appreciate that this glycerin is sourced only from sustainable palm oil. It's important to me to support environmentally friendly products and promote sustainability.

It worked really well for my hair when I mixed it into some of my products to keep my hair soft and moisturized! It is basically a better version of Hyaluronic acid!

I live in a very cold & dry place, this stuff has single handedly saved my skin. I put in on after every shower & my skin is no longer itchy and dry, this is the softer and healthiest my skin has ever been. The bottle also lasts forever & has a sweet natural smell to it. Will definitely buy again
