Like the smaller kibble size of the new formula
Reading the reviews, it feels like I'm the only one who likes the new formula. However, I have very specific circumstances. Cats are sensitive to quick changes in food, so without notice, having a change will cause them to vomit. It doesn't necessarily mean the food is bad. They just don't like to change diets so quickly. We're feeding outdoor community cats, many of whom are boys, so we've gotten big bags of this for quite a while now. We've had our guys spayed and neutered, so they're mostly middle-aged, with a few older and a couple younger. The giant kibbles were a bit difficult for them to eat, so I was quite happy to see the kibble size changed. Our cats are vacuuming up the new formula. I still had big bags of the old formula, and was a little sad that I had to put them through that again. But I've finally finished going through the old formula, and had a chance to make a gradual shift to the new. We have about 20 cats or so eating the new formula, and they seem to prefer it quite a bit. Again, these are outdoor cats with more diverse diets than normal cats, so they took the shift better than a typical indoor cat probably would. If you have a chance, I absolutely recommend slowly shifting from the old formula to the new because a fast shift might make your cat vomit. I'm not sure if there are major changes quality-wise (I've saved an old bag so I can compare them whenever I have time), but our cats seem to love it. They've even seemed to lose some interest in their treats as the treats don't seem to attract them much more than this food does now. It turned out to be a welcome change for me as so many of our guys are older and having more mouth issues and such. The old kibbles were just too big.

Not sure if it worked, but my cat LOVES it
Long story short, my cats gets so stressed from traveling that she gives herself UTIs (WTF nature?). I bought this for her to mitigate that, along with an oral urinary heath supplement. She LOVES this food. I used to leave dry food out for her 24/7, but I can't do that with this food because she'll eat the whole thing at once. Her urinary issues did clear up, but it's hard to tell if it was because of this food or just good ole time. Here are my tips if your cat is having urinary issues: 1. If it's a one-off incident, investigate why it happened! If it's stress-related, which is common, address that first. When traveling, cover the carrier with a blanket to avoid sensory overload. Try spraying the carrier with a pheromone spray like Feliway, which allegedly calms cats. You can even try a pheromone scent plug-in if you want. When kitty is in a new place, isolate them in a room where they can unwind without being disturbed. Google has plenty of resources for how to reduce stress in cats! 2. WATER WATER WATER! Entice you cat to drink water. Cats dislike water sources near their food, so try placing another water bowl away from the feeding area. (This is a natural instinct, as water sources near food / meat in the wild are often contaminated). Give fresh water every day. Try a water fountain. (Again, instinct - in the wild, running water is less likely to be contaminated than stagnant water). 3. Wet food! This kibble is okay, but cats with UTIs NEED wet food! They often don't drink enough water on their own, so incorporating it in their wet food is the best solution. And use a quality wet food - with the nutrients they need, avoiding ash and fillers. Fun fact, CATS DONT NEED ANY CARBS OR VEGGIES! Their food should be all protein and fat - any diced carrots and peas are to make YOU feel better, not the cat. Experiment with adding extra water to the wet food! (Some cats like it, some do not). Maximize your cat's water intake as much as possible. But I wouldn't suggest adding water to dry food. It gets pretty gross, like soggy cereal. 4. Consider an oral supplement. I tried a liquid supplement available on Amazon. My cat avoided her food when I added the liquid, so I administered it directly. To 'force feed' a cat, you just quickly pop the supplement in the throat (not the mouth, where they can spit it out). I prop my kitty's mouth open with one hand and administered the liquid with the other (but I have a very patient, tolerant cat). 5. Keep that litter CLEAN! It's likely your frustrated cat will be peeing often, and possibly peeing outside the litter box. Mitigate this by keeping the litter pristine and possibly adding another little box. There's also a product called "Cat Attract" that allegedly attracts cats to their litter, though I've never used it personally. 6. Finally, track their potty behaviors as much as possible. If urinary issues persist, especially in male cats where they can get total urethral blockages and actually die, go to the vet. Have a log of all the times your cat visited the litter box the day before. Note how much they pee, if it's discolored, etc. To anyone who ended up on this page because their cat is having pee-pee problems, good luck! Just stick with it. <3

As good as the Prescription version (perhaps)
I have two boy cats, one that has UTI and hairball issues. For the past 2-3 years they have enjoyed Hills Prescription Diet c/d (they share and per my vet, no issues/concerns with sharing this particular food). Anyway, as costs everywhere keep increasing, I found myself struggling to keep them on the Prescription food. Thankful for this version, as it read close to the Prescription Diet and is about 1/3rd less in cost. My only question to Hills is: what will they transition to when they are seniors? For now though, my fur-men and I are happy with this kibble option.

Cats love it
My cats liked the old formula but the kibble was too large and probably also too hard to make it their main food. It was also very low calorie so you needed to feed a giant amount for larger cats or outdoor/feral cats. I used it as a treat. New formula is a big improvement for these reasons as well as apparently extremely delicious. They clean the bowl.

Kibble size a plus
My bengal cat loves the new kibble size change. She’s been eating more than usual even though this is just a supplement to her wet cat food. It also has allowed us to not worry about urinary crystals.

Keep some original formula cat food to help transition to new!
New formulation both in composition and ingredients. We fed our cat the original formula for 12 years and suddenly it all changed, including the package size. Our cat detected the difference instantly but finally, slowly has started to eat it. We opened the new formula bag after we used up the original formula bag so we had none of the original available to help his transition. All retail outlets only have the new stuff. So please, keep some original formula before you get the new one. This way your cat can transition instead of going cold turkey like ours did.

Dont believe the negative reviews saying it is not suitable for Indian cats. All my 11 Indian cats and the cats who come to my house are eating this and they absolutely love this as well. Some cats may hesitate at first but you gotta go slow with them by mixing it with their old food, bu they will surely love it once they get used to it. My cats have gained healthy weight and better coat and less fur fall after they start eating this. Definitely go for it.

It’s the best for a reason. My cats do wonderfully on this brand so I stick with it. It’s also what all vets recommend, so why not?

Surpreende a todos que comprei. Muito bom. Infelizmente eu não posso, manter pelo valor. O presidente dos infelizes, tiram tudo de nós. Até o sono.
