Where Have You Been
I use for making smoothies. This blender is the absolute best. The quality, the look and most importantly the blend. I always thought that blenders with double rotating blades was best but this single blade at the base pulls the fruits down for a perfect blend. You will not be disappointed. oh! and the different blending speeds, BABY! This should be in your cart NOW!

Great nlendet
I bought the K150 directly from Kitchen Aid. Terrific blender, surprisingly quiet and plenty powerful. Very happy.

Plastic jug
I like it but I do not like plastic jugs. It should be clearly written in the product advertisement and description.

Light Weight and Overpriced
The components including the pitcher and the base are thin plastic. Previously I had a Kitchenaide blender for 10 years. So when it died I just figured I would purchase the current model. This one does not compare. This is not a $199 appliance. Go buy a $39 Hamilton Beech or an Oster blender. At least they don’t pretend to be high end. It is sad to see Kitchenaide producing such an inferior product.

Not what it looks like
We had a Kitchenaid K400 blender for 2 years which wore out. This model the K150 looks just like the K400 with a few less speeds so we purchased it. It is nothing like the K400. The base is plastic and the motor is weak.It vibrates all over the counter because there's no weight to it and...wait for it...the power control nob falls off randomly and goes flying across the floor so you need a 2nd person to retrieve the nob because you're using both of your hands to keep the blender it's self, on the counter. The worst blender ever for the money and it was sent back.

Cover: ease of removal
The essence of making the cover easy to remove is to just place the lip of the cover over the handle so you have leverage holding onto the handle to bring it off. Also, you don’t have to put it on all the way —halfway will keep everything in the blender, unless it’s full to capacity I would assume. This is something they should put in the instructions because it is counter intuitive. You would think the lip would go over the lip of the jar, but that doesn’t make The lid easy to get off— so try it that way, that worked for me ,Other than that issue, I do agree That it is a powerful piece of machinery and the motor seems to be strong and good. Of course I did purchase an Assurion protection plan as I do with Any piece of equipment.
