Fabulous and spacious, worth every cent!
We bought this as extra storage for our camping trip. With two kids and grownups, car space is precious! Vehicle: 2014 Ford Edge, no roof rack.Pros:-Easy to install: husband and I had it packed and secured within 30 minutes the morning of our trip. (Pro tip: we did a dry run the night before to maximize space used and determine layout. Worth it! Saved a lot of time the morning of our trip.)-Completely waterproof: driving up and while camping we were hit with some torrential downpours. Our tent leaked, but our sturdy little cartop cargo carrier was dry as a bone!-Spacious: Seriously, you will not believe how much you can fit into this thing. We maxed out on weight before we had the it filled to the brim. (Definitely check how much weight your roof can hold before you go throwing everything into it. It’s that big.) Our items: tent, camp chairs, shower tent, sleeping bags, fishing poles, folding table, 3 duffels of clothes, backpacks.-Sturdy and Quiet: We wound the extra tensioning straps around before Velcro-ing them in place. Barely knew the carrier was up there except for the heavier feeling of the car.Cons: Honestly, I’m usually very skeptical with new products, but this thing delivered on all fronts. If I had to find an issue it would be that it’s a little bulky when storing/not as flat and easy to stow away as I’d hoped. It’s so WORTH IT, though, for the extra cargo room that I don’t really mind at all.Be aware: this carrier is BIG and will hold a ton. If you’re driving an SUV or high vehicle, you will notice a little sponginess in your vehicle’s responsiveness. It’s not a big deal, just something to be aware of before you hit the road. All in all, I highly recommend this carrier to anyone who needs extra storage for a trip.

Reliable
We loaded four full suitcases on top of my Corolla with this bag. We made sure not to exceed the weight limit as stated by the manufacturer. We drove from Seattle to Seal Beach, CA. Then we drove from Seal Beach to Scranton, PA. The bag held together the entire way. I drove an average of 75 mph. We even hit some windy areas through New Mexico and Oklahoma with no problems. After driving over 3700 miles, we have decided to retire this bag. The bag is showing signs of wear due to constant high wind resistance and pressure caused by driving at freeway speeds. The bag was starting to weaken in areas where there was slack. We think the constant flapping in the wind wears out the material. It has served its purpose and has served us well. We are super satisfied with its performance. For the price you can’t beat it.My only recommendation would be to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines. Fill in empty space with towels or something soft. This will reduce the empty bag slack and prevent violent flapping while driving at high speeds. Do not transport objects such as poles or rods as these will probably puncture the bag. Also, avoid transporting large objects with sharp edges or corners. The content of the bag might shift a little, especially when you hit holes in the freeway and such. Overall, this bag is pretty sturdy. It has performed adequately through two legs of a really long drive.

Nice features
Product design is very good. I have owned others where straps are not permanently sewn in. These work great. The design also keeps the corners from receiving too much tension which will eventually cause tears. Good thickness to the material. Should hold up longer.

STURDY AF.....EXCELLENT QUALITY!
DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER!! This is the roof bag you need to buy!! I used this to go to Montana from the North East Kingdom. I was NOT disappointed!! Over 5000 miles round trip...with 2 packed full med/lg suitcases, a gigantic rolling duffle bag and 2 medium size duffle bags loaded on it. This roof bag did not budge! We drove through snow and heavy rain. Everything stayed dry the whole trip. I did place a blanket in the bottom inside only because the suitcases had wheels on the bottom and knowing I was going that far, I wanted to be extra cautious. I went through the Rockies and very windy areas....I didn’t feel it make controlling my car any different. This bag is as rugged as they come. RUN...run to the checkout and buy this!! I am extremely pleased with this purchase and will use it for ALL my long distance trips! I would give this 10 stars if I could!!!

It Work's !! Really It Does !!! - But Future Design Adjustments Needed
This product was purchased for cross-country travel from Florida to California. The product was straightforward to install and, to our surprise, held a majority of our luggage. Overall, it did the job, and we are pleased with the investment. I would recommend that the design be re-developed to be more air dynamic. You will definitely feel the resistance when driving with this product attached to our vehicle; therefore, if this product were designed so with a pitch of some sort to help the airflow and the product, that would make this product even more extraordinary. Also, the flap of plastic and the straps need to be re-enforced or re-designed so as not to be flapping with the wind. I needed to duct tape the straps and the liner from the vehicle's front to stop flapping with the wind, which was not fun to hear. Again, all things said, the product worked for its intended purpose, and for these reasons stated above, I give it 3.5 stars.

Don't buy this garbage
This product is garbage and it is not as strong as Amazon advertise. It didn't last not one trip and it was torn and water flooded all my belongings and damaged some of my personal belongings. I spoke to Amazon and they wanted to charge me a restocking fee for something that they sold that was garbage. I was not compensated for the things that were damaged. Very disappointed at Amazon customer service.

Definitely worth the money
Traveled all the way across the country with this strapped to the top of my car. The instructions were easy to understand. The straps were sturdy and it was secure the entire trip. It fit everything I needed it to. It was perfectly secure the entire drive. It rained but nothing was wet. It was a much cheaper idea than getting a hitch installed on my car and renting a trailer. And I will be using it on every long trip I go on.
