Alarm appears well made but too early to assess performance. A couple of points worth mentioning. Instruction Manual print very small and may need magnifying glass to read properly. Main discontent concerns the installation.There should be a mark on the base to guide positioning so that when installed and the alarm attached, the face can be read easily. Otherwise there is likelihood of alarm face ends up in an awkward position. Also, the plugs and screws supplied for installation of base are suited to solid walls. Many will have to install in ceiling or on wall with plasterboard, for which a better type of screw-fix is needed.

Gives mw piece of mind having a second alarm in my house, one for each level, so I chose the same brand as My first alarm as they are easy to install and of good quality. Can sleep better at night now, hopefully we will never need it but is good to have it

Purchased 2 no. of these to replace old smoke alarms during decorating. They are not the cheapest on the market but look well made and have a quality finish. The non-replaceable 10-year battery I guess is to encourage you to throw them away after 10 years (if the batteries actually last that long) and buy some new ones.Given that both smoke and carbon monoxide can kill, I though it was worth buying some decent units - they may save your life!Arrived promptly as expected for a 'Prime' order. Easy to install, they automatically actuate when you place the units into the separate mounting plate and twist to lock. Self test gave the desired results, and the green status LED flashes, so I guess all is good and well.

Not overly sensitive which is great but it does work with smoke at least. I wouldn’t know how to test it’s carbon monoxide feature besides pressing the button. Hopefully it will never be called into action for any of us but it’s a small cost to prevent a preventable catastrophe.

Our last smoke alarm gave up the ghost recently. So I was amazed to find that these new ones last 10 years ...allegedly. It is now a race as to whether I kick the bucket first or the house burns down! It is fairly easy to screw it to the ceiling, given that you enjoy wobbling around on a death defying ladder. It will be nice to ignore it for 10 years and occasionally push the test button, which freaks the dog out.

Easy to install and is good value for money being a combination of a smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm in one. Recommended.

Perfect safety gadget

Broke after 4 months, the alarm kept going off for a smoke alarm but obviously no smoke. Had to deactivate it to stop the noise. Customer service was great and the company kindly sent me a new one to replace the issue I had. Thanks
