My fave hats for toddlers!
I have two boys that LIVE outside in the summer months and both have sensitive skin. These hats are my favorite (hands down)! The brim is firm but not hard enough to hurt if bumped, the chin strap is adjustable and is a clip so in the event of it getting caught this would break and not strangle your child, there is elastic in the back for fit but also a strap for adjustment. My boys can swim in these and they hold their shape...even when they jump in and out of the pool. They dry super fast (think board shorts material). For sizing...my 13 month old has a big head (99th percentile for age) and a small fits him perfectly (see photo); my 3 year old has an above average head (67th percentile for age) and the medium fits him perfectly.

Would be awesome if he would wear it. Ever.
Everything about this looks great. My toddler won't wear it! I bought it because someone else said it was the only hat their toddler would wear. I wish mine weren't so stubborn. I think the neck cover freaks him out, because he'll wear a baseball cap just fine. [UPDATE Feb 2: He finally wore it for 30 min! We're making progress!]Pros:-The pull strap on the back is MEGA easy to adjust the tightness back and forth-The material overall has a very smooth, cool, feeling. If he'd just put it on, I'm sure he'd like it-Squishes up to pack easily. This was went into our very limited bag space (three backpacks for six months, 2 adults and one toddler)-Bill in front isn't too long but just long enough to shade amplyCons:-Only con is that my little punk won't go near it. "Mommy wear it!" he shouts

Sturdy and handy hat
I got this for my 5 year old. The medium size fit (he's 50th percentile). He was happy to wear it and it was comfortable. We stuffed it in his backpack and pulled it out again countless times over a 3-week trip. It held up beautifully in the pool, in the ocean, hiking, etc. The apron covered the back of his neck fully, and the brim shaded his face. He was well-protected from the sun.

Great coverage
Good all around coverage for our 18 month old. And it doesn't bother him, one of the few hats that stays on and he doesn't pull off.

Light and easy
Purchased this hat to protect my son’s blonde head during swim lessons, and it’s been fantastic. It’s lightweight enough that he forgets that it’s on, and rinses and dries out quickly. Great for summer hiking too! My son is one with a head in the 98th percentile, and the medium fits nicely with the band almost fully cinched, so he’ll have plenty of room to grow!

Good sun hat for a youngster
This is a cute protective hat. Elastic at the back to help with sizing. Drys quickly and hand wash hang to dry.

Good sun protection, ok fashion choice
This hat is nice and light, perfect for warm weather. It's currently a bit big on my 4 month old, even tightened all the way, but it still works. I only wish it came in less garish colours/patterns

Truly a great hat because kids will wear it and keeps them shaded
Perfect hat for kids in sunny places. We bought these for our kids a few years ago before a vacation to Hawaii and then in the next couple moves etc seem to have lost them so bought another set because we love them so much. It seems like no matter what direction they are facing their face and neck are pretty much fully shaded. The true bonus is that they keep the hat on! It doesn't matter how good a hat is, if your kid won't wear it. It's so lightweight and the chin strap is nice and thin so it doesn't bother my kids.
