These are my son’s favorite books. A good combination of photos and words for any beginning reader.

I recommend this book for people who like humorous books and ...
“A bumper car rink, a skate ramp (with a crocodile-pit hazard), a mud-fighting arena, an anti-gravity chamber, an ice-skating pond (with real, live, ice-skating penguins), a recording studio, a mechanical bull named Kevin, an ATM (that’s an automatic tattoo machine, in case you didn’t know), an ice cream shop with 78 flavors served by an ice cream-serving robot called Edward Scooperhands, and the maze of doom - a maze so complicated that nobody who has ever gone in has ever come out” - these are some things you will encounter if you read the book The 26-Story Treehouse by Andy Griffiths, illustrated by Terry Denton. In this book, Andy and Terry are two friends who create books together. They live in a 26-story treehouse. They flash back about how they met. They have many adventures such as operating on a shark, getting attacked by pirates, and getting shot out of the blow hole of a fish!!! But they also are trying to write a book - this very book that we are reading!!! Will they finish the book, or will they get caught up in all of their adventures? Read the book to find out. I recommend this book for people who like humorous books and think that amazing 26-story treehouses are cool.I really like this book. One reason I like the book is because it’s very humorous. One time it was funny was when the pirates were riding on the mechanical bull named Kevin. Another reason I like the book is because it has a lot of adventures in it, for example when someone gets shot out of the blowhole of a fish!!! To me that sounds fun in fantasy, but in real life I think I would probably get majorly injured. I also like the book because I can relate to Andy and Terry since I have a friend who I like to make books with. Once again, I really enjoyed The 26 Story Treehouse and I really recommend reading it. It’s a great book!

Great short-ish chapters for pre bed-time reading
This is our go-to evening reading with our three kids ages 3, 7, and 9. I never thought there would be a book series for the age range we have in our family but this series does it. We have already the the 13 story treehouse and are on to the 26 story treehouse. We all love it and this one helps us wind down for the evening yet keeps our imaginations going. Love this series and will finish it.

Funny Series with Quirky Humor
Both my daughters love this series. It is goofy and quick to read. My older daughter (10) is a very fluent and high reader. This is below her reading level, but she loves how they read and how quickly she can read them. My younger daughter (8) is a reluctant reader and loves them because they are part chapter book and part graphic novel. They are quick reads with quirky humor. This is a great series for kids who like things like Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Dork Diaries, or Bad Guys.

Both of my daughters (ages 5 and 8) loved the first book "13-Story treehouse" so I had to get this, the next book in line. And it didn't disappoint. Just as fun of a read as the first one. My girls like the drawings along with the text - not really a graphic novel, but definitely has pictures within the text to add to the reading experience. Some reviewers mention that it's aimed for boys to read, but my girls enjoy it a lot. Would recommend as a fun, silly book to read along with your child, or for your child to read on their own.

Tremendously funny
I had to translate it for my kids (5 and 7) but that's possible - the pictures make it easy to understand what the story is about. It's very funny, I guess I have to buy the other books as well.
