I needed something to use when I hang out on the carpeted floor in the family room or while sitting on the chair,and as you can see in the pictures,the room is kind of tight,having something not permanent that can be tucked away is essential! So when I was presented this stand as complementary test/review sample,I went for it and I am glad I did! It can be used with Laptops,Tablets,iPads,anywhere around the house,the office or on an out of town trip. Being such lightweight it even be stored in a trunk of a car to use when need rises!!Final Thoughts:---------------------This is my second table of this style,and except for first frustrating folding/unfolding experience due to lack of reading the instructions! I have nothing but good praise for this lightweight and extremely portable stand! Still, if you're a skeptical person and not sure whether to trust other people's reviews or not! With Amazon's 30 day return policy, you have four weeks to try it out yourself, before returning it for any reason, with no questions asked, and in most cases Amazon will pay for the return shipping, in other words, it is a win, win situation!! I ordered this desk to replace a laptop table I had from IKEA. I walked into a wall with my IKEA desk and broke the leg. I spent $35.00 on this desk and $20.00 on my IKEA table. The quality of this desk was so poor. It's flimsy and very low to the ground. I can't see how this can hold a laptop without it falling over. Save your money and do not buy this stand. I returned it. You're better off going to IKEA.

This was a fairly decent stand. I didn't think it was quite as flexible as I would have liked since there are only certain settings it can snap into and you have to push both buttons at the same time you are adjusting, which I found somewhat difficult.

I compared the Cadillacs of this model (at $150 to $175) and decided to see if this inexpensive monitor riser would function nearly the same. It does.Has multiple options to elevate to multiple heights, up to 19 inches above the desk. Opens and closes in less than a minute to fully functioning-and I save well over $100. I added a 4 inch riser to support the keyboard and that addition works perfectly with this monitor stand.This stand is sturdy as fully extended, holding a large and heavy monitor, without sag and without tilting.I highly recommend this stand. No, it doesn't look like the expensive one, the one that has an accordion like mechanism; but this doesn't need it. I keep this fully extended, under my desk, and set it up on the desk when I want to stand up and type. Lifting the monitor (or a laptop) takes just a moment. I'll buy another one. What a cool product. Nice going.

Updated Review - July 2016The seller contacted me after reading my review and sent me an updated version of the laptop stand. They have definitely improved the design; the legs are sturdier and the mouse holder is much easier to attach and is now able to be placed on the left or right side. I truly appreciate the seller's concern and gesture and am pleased with the product upgrades!!- - - -I bought this to use on my regular desk when i want to stand and use my laptop. The legs are not incredibly stable, as they are plastic and not aluminum. I would not leave my laptop on the stand when not in use, but it is effective as a small, lightweight standing desk converter if you're not looking for heavy-duty use.Pros:-Effective for converting table/desk into standing work station for laptop-Push-buttons at the leg joints make changing positions easy-Degree markers on buttons-Lightweight, easy to move-USB fan is quiet and seemingly effective-Cheaper than buying a standing laptop desk-Mouse attachment is adjustableCons:-Only laptop base is aluminum, legs are hollow plastic-Stand wobbles in most positions because plastic legs splay a little-Nut and bolt for mousepad attachment just BARELY fit, making assembly a challenge

This was a great purchase. I work remotely and often travel to coffee shops to grab coffee and do some work. I started to notice that I was sitting down too much and my body was cramping up. So after looking around Amazon, I found this laptop stand, which I liked because it’s foldable and not crazy expensive (like varidesk). So, I gave it a chance. I love this thing. My friends started seeing me with it and some of them even bought one as well. So, I highly recommend it!

It is not very stable! I was concerned that my laptop would fall off!

I purchased to take to work to elevate my keyboard and ended up liking it so much I kept it at home for personal use with a laptop when I work in bed and for my desktop keyboard when standing at my desk. Easily adjusted height and angle. Incredibly versatile for multiple workspaces.
