My 6-year-old son could not put it down and had so many questions. We both enjoyed the beautiful illustrations by the author. A great story of empowerment that kids (and adults) will enjoy.

This is tightly written with gorgeous illustrations. It highlights a woman architect I had never heard of, but an inspiring one for sure! I love that the author/illustrator studied architecture as well. This is one to add to your picture book biography collection.

I just got my copy of this book and I can't put it down! It is an illustrated story about Zaha Hadid, an architect who is famous for her extraordinary vision and her buildings that warp the space and challenge conventional approach to building and seeing.The illustrations are magnetic! They are created from many perspectives and feature captivating views of urban landscapes. When you look at them, you are pulled right into this book on a journey with Zaha.I highly recommend this book for kids and adults alike! It's a great family read that will generate a conversation and spark curiosity.

The Sumerian wetlands. London in the rain. Zaha in her own studio. Victoria peoples her books with much diversity. An architect herself, her buildings are also characters. Creative children and adults will appreciate the page where Zaha stands amid crumpled drawings of her work as the text talks about the need to be "tougher than most and confident in her vision."

This is an inspiring story about a strong, determined woman, that is beautifully illustrated. Another delightful book by Victoria Tentler-Krylov!
