Ran Santoku Knife Blade Length: 6.5"

Just got this last weekend, and have barely put it through it's paces, but I am in love. Overall, it's a wee bit heavy, but that's fine for a knife of its size. The fit and finish is excellent for a sub $100 knife. It came STUPID SHARP with straight and even bevels. I REALLY like the handle, it just fits my hand perfectly.My only knock is the spine right in front of the bolster could have been rounded a bit at the factory. It's a little sharp and digs into the meat of your finger if you pinch grip it too tight. Otherwise, I love everything about it.

I was disappointed that mine arrived in bad shape.The handle has abbrasions on both sides. You can feel it when you hold it in your hand. There are marks inside the box and on the paperwork that indicate heavy handling. I'm wondering if these are on sale because they were returned by other customers because of defects.

Sharpest knife I've ever seen. Usually dull knives are known to be dangerous but this knife is so sharp you could cut anything, even if you don't want to. I suggest not trying to touch the cutting edge to see how sharp it is. Also be careful washing this knife, you could easily cut yourself washing this knife.
