1-Tier Microwave Steamer Heating Steamer for Home Kitchen White (Oval)

It would have been nice to have directions included. Once the cooking time has been figured out, it is great for steaming veggies for our meal. It is dishwasher safe.

I was looking for a microwave steamer that would fit a couple ears of corn or half a squash. I tried a couple others and returned them because they were either too small or had a feature that wouldn't allow large items to fit inside. They were better made and more sturdy than this one. This one is kind of flimsy but it actually works fine. I wish there were larger handles on the sides and top to make taking the hot steamer with boiling water inside easier and safer to take out of the microwave and to make the top easier to grasp and remove. For now it is doing the job ok.

I love this steamer because it has enough room in the steamer section for cauliflower and broccoli. The dogs not reason that it got a rating of 4 is because the food stained the plastic and it wouldn’t come off.

4/22/2022 Microwave Steamer holds enough veg servings for my family of 3. Works as described and seems to be sturdy. Just note that carrots did stain the plastic orange in some spots. Would buy again.Will edit if needed as use continues.

This little steamer worked really well for 1 to 2 people. The top dish is deep enough to create a meal for one person or a side for two people. The bottom is deep enough that you can add enough water to it. The only thing I would say I don’t like about it is the fact that you can’t clasp or clamp the top to it properly. The top just literally sits on top of the bottom with no fasteners at all. Cleans very easily too. I tend to have all of the ingredients on top set it in the microwave, and then add the water to the bottom because it gets a little bit flimsy when you have it full of food and water. The only thing I would say that would make this perfect as the fact that you can clip the top somehow to the bottom so it stays in one piece. No weird smell or aftertaste after using it either. Put it in the dishwasher top rack and it did not deform at all. Definitely a good find for the price.

TO BE PERFECTLY HONEST, IT WAS SMALLER THAN I THOUGHT, SO IT TOOK ME OVER A WEEK BEFORE I DECIDED TO TRY IT. BOY, WAS I SURPRISED. I DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD WORK BECAUSE IT WAS SO SHALLOW ON THE BOTTOM (MY OLD ONE WAS DEEP) I DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD HOLD ENOUGH WATER, BUT IT DID. AS FOR FOOD, I DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD HOLD EVERYTHING I WANTED TO STEAM, OR THE AMOUNT I PUT ON MY OLD ONE. BUT IT SURE DID, I PUT A NORMAL SIZED EAR OF CORN, TWO PIECES OF SALMON, AND A BUNCH OF ASPARAGUS ON IT...LOL...! IT CAME WITH NO INSTRUCTION BOOKLET ON TIME, AND I HAVE AN OLD MICROWAVE ABOUT 800 WATTS ...SO I SET IT FOR 20 MINUTES ON HI AND EVERYTHING WAS 'PERFECT'...I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER.

Does everything it is suppose to do, just wish it was a tad bit larger.

This replaced my as-seen-on-TV model which required every component for use, even when I didn't need a 2nd tier. It simply had too many parts to be convenient, and clean-up was more time consuming than it needed to be. Also, it was round (and small) so it couldn't hold things like whole asparagus spears.But THIS little baby does it all! Whole asparagus spears fit easily, veggies are steamed evenly, and it works as beautifully when it's loaded right up as it does for single servings. I wasn't real sure what size it would be (measurements can be deceptive on cookware) but this steamer will easily hold enough side-dish veggies for a family of 4 - a satisfying amount for a veggie-binger like myself! 😃

Love this! Going to buy a second one.
