Good weight lifting shoes
As far as barefoot shoes go these are fairly normal in that they have quite a bit of structure/rigidity to them. I think this makes them more practical for being athletic since they hold your feet in place when you are changing directions for example. However, it does make them a bit less comfortable for casual use and they do squeeze my feet fairly tightly and it means that you have to untie them everytime to put them on. I think they could definitely use a bit more room in the toe box.The rubber soles are completely flat which is good since they are zero drop and don't have much padding seperating your feet from the floor. This makes them good for lifting but not much cushion for running and your feet will be pretty sore until you get used to them. The rubber soles are quite stiff, which makes them pretty durable but not that much ground feel and not much cushioning to absorb the impact of landing as I said. There also seems to be a bit of toe spring which I'm not sure why alot of barefoot shoes seem to have since it is a modern shoe gimmick that should not exist in barefoot shoes in my opinion. But it's not too bad and when you put your weight on them your toes kind of touch the ground, hopefully as they break in the toe spring will not be too noticeable. I would like to see no toe spring and wider toe box so that your toes can fully spread on the ground and give maximum balance. Design wise I think they look pretty good, I like that they hid the heel strap inside the shoe.. But I think they are a little expensive at this price and probably more suited toward weight lifting than running.Overall I think they are a decent gym shoe weight lifting and some light running but I wouldn't really wear them as an everyday running shoe due to the lack of padding and stiff rubber soles. I would probably wear something like the Altra SOLSTICE XT 2 if I was doing alot of running due to it having a bit more cushion while still being zero drop and having plenty of space in the toe box. And if you have tougher feet from wearing barefoot shoes for years you would probably want something with a bit more ground feel. I think the tight fit and rigid structure of the shoe makes it suitable as a weight lifting shoe but not really suitable for an everyday casual shoe since you cannot slip it on and your toes don't really have enough room to full spread out. And I would like to see them increase the toe box and get rid of the toe spring completely so that your toes can touch the ground for increased balance. For what they are I think they are decently made but a bit expensive, though I know that this is a bit of a niche market.

Smaller than other Xeros!
I've had a couple pairs of Xero shoes/boots over the past few years (Mesa Trail shoeand Daylight Hiker boot). Every shoe I've tried from Xero has a great feel right out of the box and fits perfectly. There is zero break in period, and you get a connection with the ground you don't often find in athletic shoes.Unlike the other Xeros I've tried though, the HFS definitely feels small. Here on Amazon the consensus is that they fit true to size, but after trying mine on I noticed immediately that my toes were jammed up in the toe box. I went over to the Xero website where they say the shoe runs smaller than other models. I should have checked that prior to buying them. The manufacturer recommends sizing up one half size. I think that extra space will make it the perfect gym/running shoe. Give them a try. Maybe just order two sizes and send back the one that feels tighter.

Can’t stop wearing them
Read title. They’re super comfy, lightweight, and have zero drop. I use these as a daily wear, and love how breathable they are. I’ve used them for running a bit, which I’m still building up to on zero drop but have noticed that the defense they provide (we do carpentry, gardening, etc) for some scenarios makes them not “every use”.Obviously, you shouldn’t be wearing running shoes for yard work or building things, but that’s my point. If you use them appropriately as everyday wear or runners, you’ll be happy. I’m usually a 10.5, these fit perfect for me in.

Roomy, comfortable, good value
I'm typically a 10.5 4E (Saucony, NB), got a size 11 as recommended by reviewers.Shoes feels pretty loose and roomy, not just in the toe box, but also around the mid foot section, I would've guess the shoe is probably equivalent to a 4E. Anyone with a fat foot or a flat foot shouldn't have any problem fitting in, unlike other brands.Just from the shape alone, since my big toe is shorter then my 2nd toe, I'd probably be fine with a size 10.5 since there's already plenty of room for my dominant toe.Definitely not your beginner barefoot transition shoe. I've been running on flats and Vibram5fingers, and the feel is definitely more like my VFF, but more comfortable, and you can feel the ground.I'll definitely stick to Xeros for a while!

Unreal
Absolutely the best running shoes I have ever worn. Lifetime runner that had some pretty good success in my collegiate career, but injuries threatened my longevity with the sport to the point I thought I would just give it up altogether. Been running in these things for a while now and after a VERY gradual progression I am hyper pumped to report I have had no issues at all and Xero now has a lifelong customer. These shoes are great. Super comfortable, basically no break-in time, can be used for any and all activities, and have so far proven to keep me healthy, which is the icing on top. 5-stars. Absolutely recommend them!

Amazing
It took me three tries to get the right size (buy a smaller size than you usually buy), but now that I've had them a few weeks I can definitely say they're incredible. I could not get past 1.5 MILES running, with my New Balance, without my legs having some sort of pulled or strained muscle. Now, I can run further every time I go out.

Very comfortable shoes
With regular sneakers, I used to have pain in the feet, calves and back of thighs. I came across Xero Shoes and bought this pair nearly 2 years back. Most of my feet pain is gone. These are very light and comfortable shoes. With the HFS running shoes, I have walked for 7 miles at a time, ran 4-5 miles 3x per week.Highly recommend it. I bought another pair for office use after success with the 1st one.

Might be the perfect shoe for wide feet!
I normally never find shoes that fit my feet, but these shoes fit like a frigging glove 🧤Couldn’t be happier, like I go to bed looking forward to going for a long walk/run in the morning. The color is also really beautiful! The pictures don’t make em justice.
