I love this pencil
Oh boy. Been using cheapo Papermates that last a couple of months and then just stop working. This Kuru Toga though? Oh man, I don't know where to begin. Form factor is great! Incredibly comfortable and wothba nice heft. Material quality is top notch as well. It just "feels good" in the hand. Writes like a dream! I use the .5 leads and with THIS thing they just Do. Not. Break. Feeds perfectly on each click as well. Just a wonderfully made product that'll likely last forever and it's ridiculously UNDER priced for how good a product it is. Get it.

This kit includes everything you need for a seamless writing experience, from the sleek gunmetal barrel to the smooth 0.5mm pencil tip. Let's start with the pencil itself. Perfect pencil, writes sharp
Absolutely great pencil! I only ever use this pencil now. Amazing build quality. The rotation mechanism is noticeable if your not writing super fast. Pencil writes great perfect for note taking especially in math since it’s got sharp writing. Only downside might be the small eraser, but it’s comes with a few extra ones and Amazon has a packs of the same eraser for pretty cheap. Would absolutely recommend this pencil

Uni scores a hit with this one! Great pencil!
The weight and feel of this pencil is spot on. I have a lot of trouble with punching holes in paper on the upstroke with a 0.5mm mechanical pencil. Not so with this one due to the way it rotates the lead. This immediately became my favorite pencil and I rarely write with any of my others. The build quality is excellent, and I really like that there is a tiny sight window that allows you to verify the rotation mechanism is working properly. If you enjoy writing with a mechanical pencil, you will almost certainly love this one.

Amazing Pencil, Lasted 2 Years of HEAVY Daily Use, Eraser Occasionally Frustrating
TLDR: This pencil is great, lasted me a while with heavy use, but suffers from some questionable but tolerable design choices regarding the eraser. I will be buying this again. This pencil is phenomenal, I purchased it in the first semester of my MECH undergrad and it has served me well. Every day I use this pencil to take notes, do homework, and make drawings and I have had very few issues. Very versatile. To get it out of the way, the main drawback is the eraser. It is functional, it doesn't seem to be the most common size so replacing it may require an online purchase. I carry around a separate eraser with this pencil and it just overall works better, the eraser it has is good for fixing small mistakes but you won't be gutting an entire sentence (especially if you write as dark as me). Also there is a less than ideal designed cap that can easily fall off and can make pressing the lead out a little awkward, but its tolerable. This thing survived a lot, it's primarily metal so its quite durable, but it's not heavy or awkward. 0.5 mm lead is easy to find so refills are not hard, but as mentioned before the eraser is less ideal.

Solid upgrade to regular pencils, worth a try
This is a significant improvement from standard mechanical pencils. The Kuru Toga mechanism slowly advances and rotates the lead as you write, continuously refreshing the tip. This is based on lifting then pressing the lead against the paper. It needs frequent short strokes to work best, so won’t do well if you write in cursive. I write pretty small so it almost keeps up with me, but I still have to click advance occasionally. The lead provided snaps less than standard, helping to decrease interruptions. The real treat is the consistent tip the rotation provides - always sharp with no flat spots. For little more than a regular mechanical pencil, this is a great deal. If you really want an upgrade there is an advanced version of this mechanism with adjustable lead feed. I haven’t tried it, but it should solve the one weakness of this pencil which is

Nice system!
The gear system really guarantees the uniformity of the mine. The build quility and feeling is also incredible and I really like the designs and that it comes with a lot of replacements

Nice Design
The design and build quality is looks quite good. I like that the grip is metallic; it makes the pencil feel more solid when gripping it.

Excellent in my use but not absolutely perfect
What works well • Consistent line & tip: Because of the rotation mechanism, you get less of that chisel-flattened lead tip, which helps your lines stay more consistent and avoids nasty breaks. • Premium feel / grip: The knurled metal grip gives traction and a more solid feel compared to cheap plastic pencils. • Good value for refills: The kit version includes many (60 lead refills, several eraser refills) so you’re not just paying for the pencil body. • Stylish / premium aesthetics: In pen-nerd circles, many cite the Elite as a favourite for combining function with a classy look. What to watch out for / Cons No tool is perfect. These are some caveats or downsides I picked out: • Eraser is small / weak: The eraser that comes with it is too tiny or wears out fast. • Cost vs simpler models: Because the Elite version is more premium, you pay more for things (metal parts, finish) which some feel are not strictly necessary for everyday use. • Mechanism noise / subtlety: The rotation is subtle. If you twist your hand or shift how you write, you may reduce the benefit. In heavy rotation it behaves more like a regular mechanical pencil. • Lead breakage (still possible): It doesn’t make lead unbreakable. I have occasional breaks, especially with pressure or low durability leads. • Supply of special lead / refills: The “diamond-infused” leads that they promote may be more limited or cost more. standard 0.5 mm leads are usable but may not perform as well with the mechanism.

Ligera y bonita
