Editing due to Vendor harassmentIt has come to my attention that if you leave a negative review for this product the vendor will stalk you and offer you bribes. I have received emails from the Vendor on October 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 16th and 26th. Each email requests that I delete this comment and the last 3 emails offer a $20, then $40, then $50 for doing so. The final email went as far as to claim the writer has a rather unknow medical condition that I happen to have, as well as, other personal family information that let's me know they have started stalking me. I have reported this vendor to Amazon four times and yet Amazon has done nothing.DO NOT BUY FROM THIS VENDOR!!!Original Review...I am not a techie and it took hours to install as the directions were extremely limited. For example, I needed to install an app to scan the QR code to install YI lot, the view app. Clear directions would have been appreciated.Cameras are not wireless. Thus placement requires access to a plug or purchase of additional charging cords and additional installation.Cameras do not have 360° view as stated under Amazon details.Slight delay on viewing but not bad.Sound is dreadful.One of the cameras records upside down.And most importantly you cannot access a multiview without purchasing the Cloud program. Thus you end up clicking on the individual cameras, waiting for a connection and then view one at a time. The Amazon tech was very nice in trying to assist in accessing multiview but through customer comments it was discovered multiview is not an option without subscribing to additional features.I will be returning these.

Make sure you download the correct one I've included a photo. Otherwise you will have a very hard time. Once installed very easy very simple directions and the voice prompts you through everything.

This is a horrible camera!! They sent me cameras that had already been open! Than I tried to set them up and they do not turn on. This company sent me dead cameras. The camera don’t even have the bar code things on them to scan them and get them working if they did turn on. The app makes a noise like the camera is scanning the bar code from the phone. It is not, it’s a fake sound. Do not buy them!

Rebranded YI camera, didn’t even open the box. The app QR code went straight to The YI App. Not a bad camera, I just need an IP camera that works on an open platform. YI is just like Blink, not a true open protocol like the Onvif Standard. It’s strictly controlled by the manufacturer in order to offer monitoring services... not a true CCTV system is it if someone else can view your feed regardless of what you say or think. Buy this if you care not of who is in control.

First, I want to say that you can absolutely use these cameras without ordering "cloud storage" or whatnot. If you put a micro-SD card (the listing also calls them TF cards) in them, they will record to the card, and you can access previous recordings via the app. This is pretty standard among the many security cameras I've purchased.So, the cameras themselves have great picture quality, about what you'd expect for 1080p. They are easy to set up. Plug in the camera, and then simply start the app, and put in your WiFi credentials. The app generates a barcode that you hold in front of the camera. The camera reads the barcode, and connects to the WiFi, and you're done. It even tells you in a voice what it's doing or if it has problems. Note, if you have the app on a tablet rather than a phone, you may need to hold the tablet a good foot or two from the camera, not the 8 inches they say. Not a big deal. Note, these only work on 2.4ghz Wifi and not 5ghz. Most 5ghz routers also have a 2.4ghz option, so this generally isn't an issue.Now, for the app. First, I don't like that the app has a bunch of links to where you can buy cloud storage service. And, if you're not careful, it's very easy to click and accidentally buy something you may not want to buy.I feel like the app is missing some features I've used with other cameras. First, while the night vision is excellent, these cameras actually can work VERY well in the dark with just ambient light. I have other cameras that let you turn off the night vision and shoot very bright and clear videos with just a light bulb (on a porch for instance). These cameras, however, don't let you turn off night vision. The difference is that night vision is black and white, and non-night-vision is color. With some other cameras, you can control set the length of the recording when it detects motion, and with this, you can't. Although, I will say, it's motion detection is much better than some cameras I've used. I believe this camera uses only video to detect motion, unlike some cameras I have which claim to use infrared, and which I suspect actually don't. In any case, the motion detection is very quick. For some reason, it appears that at least some of the videos captured when motion is sensed are recorded in SD and not the HD that the cameras are set to. That's annoying. Live video feeds are in HD, however.One good thing is that you can also download the Yi desktop software and watch the videos and control the cameras from a laptop or desktop. I wish my cameras from other makers could do this.All in all, these cameras offer a pretty darn good bargain. About twenty bucks each when I got them. Some things are better than other cameras I have, and some things are worse. For all of this, it gets four stars.

I am really liking these cameras- I am able to check in on my phone and see what’s going on in real time and the 2 way talk works great! When I turn the audio on there is some background noise so I am trying to figure that out, but it’s not enough to affect the audio. I was hoping to be able to get rid of my baby monitors and replace it with these but the alerts are not loud enough to wake me up if a kiddo needed something, but it is still an effective camera and I will continue to use it and recommend!
