It works incredibly fast to stop bleeding from accidentally cutting your pets' nails too close to the quick (hence the name kwik stop). Please note that this product is not suitable for deep cuts or wounds, as it wasn't designed for that purpose. However, it's effective for small cuts and scrapes. For those of you who want to take care of your pets' nail maintenance at home but are worried about cutting too close, I highly recommend keeping this bottle handy. It's a reliable tool for the job. Plus, a little bit of kwik stop powder goes a long way, and it even contains a mild pain reducer, which gives you peace of mind that your dog's toe won't be causing them any discomfort. A helpful tip I can share is to place a small amount of kwik stop powder in the lid. Then, take a cotton swab (the kind used for cleaning ears, not a cotton ball) and dampen it with cold water. Roll the cotton swab in the powder. This way, if you accidentally make the nail bleed, you can easily apply the cotton swab with the powder to the nail, making the process less messy and more manageable. Alternatively, you can store the kwik stop powder in the lid and dip the nail into it, but be cautious, as the packaging lid may sometimes come off, leading to spills. Good luck! It's worth noting that the packaging lid could be improved to prevent such spills.

This worked almost immediately and did exactly what I needed it to do. It’s great to have on hand just in case, especially for pets. Easy to use and very effective. Definitely worth keeping in your pet care supplies.

Recommended by my vet for trimming my dog nails. I have a lab with dark colored nails so it is nerve wracking to not know where exactly to trim and sometimes it ends up being too short. There is no scent or odor to the powder. Pretty easy to apply, just stick the bleeding nail in it, it adheres and clots very quickly. Does not seem to cause any discomfort to the dog. Highly recommend! It is a nice piece of comfort to have when doing nail trimmings on my own.

Works as promised. I accidentally clipped my dog's nail too short. I had nothing to do the bleeding. I ordered this and it came in about an hour. It stopped the bleeding instantly.

I got this after a couple of “bloody” incidents while clipping my dog’s nails. It does exactly what it says - just a small amount is enough to stop the bleeding. I do wish I’d get better at clipping her nails so I wouldn’t need to use this, but it feels great knowing I have it on hand for peace of mind.

Kwik Stop is AMAZING! We have used it for years and years. But, our new local pet store carries other styptic powder brands so we bought them after we ran out of Kwik Stop. None of the other brands worked half as well. Kwik Stop stops the bleeding on our dogs paws almost instantly if we accidentally cut a nail quick too short. We didn’t even realize that other brands didn’t work as well until we tried them so we drove around looking for Kwik Stop and couldn’t find it in any local stores. Thank goodness for Amazon. We ordered it and It arrived in 2 days
