Great sound
I purchased this muffler to replace the old one. The old muffler is straight through muffler 4x9x17inch size. I install this muffler on jeep cherokee 1995 4.0, need to modify the tailpipe because the muffler have different inlet/outlet configuration. The tone is very low and deep on idle until 1200 rpm. After that it's quiter than my old muffler, and no drone on highway speed. By the way i install this muffler as second muffler, the first one is 4 in round muffler, 14 in length, and straight through.

excellent sound
Installed on a 5.3L V8. Has a deep tone under acceleration yet you don't have to listen to it at cruising speeds. It's loud enough to be pleasant to hear without being loud enough to get you into trouble.

Just right for me
I researched on line and this muffler had the best performance but not the loudest sound and that is exactly what I wanted. It is loud enought but not punishingly so. I was interested in the performance aspect of the muffler and I am quite pleased.
