If you want two extra NVME M.2 SSDs in your system but your motherboard doesn't support bifurcation in your spare x8 or x16 slot, then this card is for you.Don't be fooled by the low priced dual NVME M.2 adapters out there - they all require your motherboard to support bifurcation in whatever slot you use. I have an ASUS X570-P but my secondary PCIe x16 slot doesn't support bifurcation and I don't have any x8 slots (at all).This card uses the whole PCIe x8 bandwidth and (when fully populated), will present two NVME M.2 drives to your motherboard and allow both to function at full PCIe Gen 3.0 x4 speed - which is almost 4 Gigabytes per second.I've got two Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 drives and they're both running at full tilt.Although it's not cheap, I'm very pleased with this card and the speed of my drives.
