Seems to work very well. I would advise to use the recommended coil as well .

Got an old used part.
Pertronix Part may be good if new but AMAZON sent me a used non working part. Wires cut and dirty, screws held together by a piece of tape, box beat to hell, etc etc. Now I'm dead in the water another week!!!!!!!!Thanks AMAZON!
