BOILED Linseed Oil - Awesome Finish, Makes Wood Grain Pop - Highly Recommended
This is a great product. I have been looking for BOILED Linseed Oil for the longest time but I could only ever find it in large size jugs of a gallon or more, or the overpriced chemically mixed one. This oil works great, has very little [and also tolerable] odor and the price was right. First used it on my hammer's wood handle and it has restored the beauty of the wood. Had this hammer for nearly 20 years and got a LOT of use out of it. The wood was in good shape but visibly used & old. Putting about 10-15 coats of this oil on it has made it look almost brand new again. Now I'm currently using it on the Hickory handle of my Council Tools Woodcraft 24" Axe. I've put on about 10 coats (out of 20 planned) and it has already begun to show a beautiful finish on the axe handle. It was already a beautiful and smooth piece of wood, but after applying this oil it has really brought out the wood grain and has already created a very nice lustre as well. Can't wait to see what it looks like after the full job is done. The only thing I would advise other users is to be mindful of how they dispose of any rags, gloves, etc...that are used for application of the oil. It's certainly not dangerous in and of itself, but in some cases it has been known to become unstable and possibly catch fire/blow if you dispose of carelessly, crumble up oil-soaked rags in the garbage with no breathing room or without washing them. Extremely easy to avoid any of these issues, though. Me personally I apply with a disposable glove - sometimes in tandem with a paper towel or small hand-rag. Once finished, I rinse the glove & rags with warm water and either Palmolive or Dawn dish soap prior to throwing in the trash. Dawn works best for oil/grease but Palmolive has also been good for this. I've done it this way daily and had absolutely NO problems. Doing your clean-up this way simultaneously creates peace of mind and minimizes any lingering smell from permeating the garbage bag/trash can. I have never had any problems this way. Overall I definitely recommend this product for any wood treatments you have around the house. It's great.

High quality boiled linseed oil
Went on a little thick but looks pretty good once it fully cures, which can actually take quite awhile…..sometimes a few days or more, imo. Just be careful about how you dispose of the rags after use. Chuck the rags into a bucket of water and then lie them flat on concrete outside until they dry. Never toss them crinkled into a waste basket. They’re very flammable while damp

Really easy to apply, and works great
I have a nice piece of fresh manzanita wood which I cut and shaped myself, and I really wanted to give it a sharper look, so I bought this bottle, and I poured some of it onto a napkin and rubbed it all Over the wood and right away I saw that nice sharp look where the different red colors on the wood stood out very nicely, I let it dry and applied it twice more and it came out beutiful. Though it smells really bad so you have to let it dry and air out for a while. And don't let it get onto your clothes, some got on my white shirt and it instantly soaked through and ruined my shirt and under shirt as it's oil, I am very impressed with this bottle, no need to apply different types of paints and chemicals to get that look, this bottle included it all. Very satisfied!

Perfect for DIY’s. Leaves a professional finish.
It took 3 coats to get a vintage sideboard looking fabulous. It took about 12 hrs to dry in my experience. Just follow directions and it does bring furniture back to life. It doesn’t leave a sticky residue, which I loved.

Knife Rebirth: Transforming 30-Year-Old Kitchen Blades second coating of oil Restoring linseed oil
Refinishing wooden knife handles with linseed oil can breathe new life into your beloved tools, restoring their natural beauty and protecting them for years to come. Begin by ensuring the handles are clean and dry, free from any dirt, grime, or old finishes. Sand the handles gently to remove any rough spots or imperfections, using fine-grit sandpaper for a smooth finish. Once the handles are prepped, apply a small amount of linseed oil to a clean cloth or brush and rub it into the wood in the direction of the grain. Allow the oil to penetrate the wood for a few minutes before wiping off any excess with a dry cloth. Repeat this process two to three times, allowing each coat to dry completely before applying the next. Linseed oil not only enhances the natural color and grain of the wood but also provides a protective layer that repels moisture and prevents cracking or warping. As the oil cures, it forms a durable finish that withstands daily use and keeps your knife handles looking great for years to come. Remember to store your knives in a dry environment away from direct sunlight to maintain the integrity of the linseed oil finish. With proper care and maintenance, your refurbished knife handles will continue to impress with their beauty and functionality.

De fles is bij aankomst al gebruikt. De aluminium zegel onder de dop was reeds kapot. Er zat ook minder in de fles. Heel slecht! Retour gestuurd.
