Money saver and good taste with Illy intense roast
First capsule used straight out of the box was great. I used Illy espresso grind, and packed just under the top edge, patted down with the tool, pushed the lid in, pressed the espresso brew button (I have the Lattissima Touch machine) and a nice crema topped espresso poured out. The second capsule was less successful, I think there might be a slight flaw in that one, so it was a bit fiddly to get into the capsule slot of the machine and the brew was slow to come through and then blocked. I have messaged the seller to find out if this is potentially a faulty capsule. Really helpfully, they replied back and sent me a replacement single capsule. I’m very happy to say I have perfect functioning capsules. It will save money and the wasted capsule shells and ability to choose the grind I want and even make my own blend. You might ask why not just get a proper espresso machine, the answer is the price tag of replacing a perfectly functioning Nespresso machine. In the medium term, good reusable capsules are the best compromise. Also it’s quicker and less hassle to clean out a pair of just used capsules if you want to make drinks for more than one person (I always have a double espresso or ristretto). The capsules set with damper tool look really smart by the way. I don’t know how but they’ve made very utilitarian objects look chic. The damper has a good weight to it too. It feels professional.

A nice way to experience a variety of different coffees when you only have a Nespresso machine.
Firstly, the quality of the product feels really good and is well presented in the box. It’s not a bad fit for the Creatista Plus machine, but it does require a little bit of jiggling to close the flap. This is to be expected as this pod is completely solid, whereas the aluminium Nespresso pods have a bit of give.Taste was always going to be a difficult one to judge. I decided to cut open a Nespresso pod and empty the coffee into the reusable pod. This way I could do a direct comparison against the Nespresso pods using the same coffee. The reusable pod does not quite fit the same quantity of coffee as a Nespresso pod, but the strength and taste was surprisingly similar. The only noticeable visual difference was that the reusable pod produced a coffee with no crema. Could be an issue for some.Later that day, I tried it with ground coffee from a bag. This was considerably weaker and I can only think that this is down to the amount of coffee that will actually fit in the pod. It’s considerably less than what you would normally use for an espresso, so I might need to think about the coffee I’m buying and whether it is likely to work.On the whole, I’m not disappointed. It’s good fun to make but probably isn’t going to replace my subscription anytime soon. The clean up is fairly straightforward, but I won’t pretend it isn’t messy.

They don’t work well
Really lovely product design - from the books to the pods themselves. But that design is limited to thr asthetic rather than utility. Used them in a nespresso machine and the coffee tasted weak and awful - I don’t think the pods let enough water or coffee in

Messy to fill
These are well made but messy to fill. I need to change coffee brand as even though I pack it fairly full, so far it is too weak for my taste. That is because the lid is recessed, so that it does not foul the piecing spikes, but that reduces the amount of coffee that can be put in.Will persevere for a bit but suspect laziness will get the better of me and I will revert to disposable pods.

Easy to clean
This reusable pod are perfect for your favourite coffee, when you perfect the amount to add for your required taste. Very simple to use and very easy to clean. In certain machines I have used the pods in do not engage easily, so you have to put the pod in and with the use of the handle engage at the same time. Pushing down with finger on the pod and engage the handle at same time to fully engage the pod in the machine. Enjoy the eco friendly way!

Looks nice but makes awful coffee
The idea is great but it doesn’t work. This makes awful week coffee. We thought it may be the coffee we were using but it’s not it just doesn’t get the strong and is mainly hot water. Complete waste of money. I gave it two starts because it’s a good idea and looks nice but don’t buy this!

No issues
As described, easy to use and the mini tamper feels nice to hold, easy to clean so far, gives a nice crema with the budget coffee we use, great sustainable option for guilt free coffee machine use

Solid product which makes good coffee
*update - used for a few months and it appears that the hard metal cap may cause issues/breakages with the machine, can't say for sure but the part which presses into the capsule no longer pierces a normal/plastic capsule, which may have been caused by the pressure of it pushing into the metal of these pods. We can't verify that but it's coincidental that it broke after using these pods. Others may not have had this issue and it might just be our machine which isn't the newest*We've used this for a week now. First impression was a solid well made product. Also nice customer service when I asked about the machine compatibility. It takes a few goes to get the capsules working - if you overfill them the machine doesn't work. However, we found the best method is filling with espresso grind coffee to the top of the pod (or slightly above) then tamping down lightly, until the top of the tamp is level with the top of the capsule. If it doesn't work, take a bit out or tamp down a bit more. Makes good espresso with crema. Hopefully the product lasts a while as it looks well made. Ensure you wash out the capsules at the time although note they get very hot!
