Rough Country 2" Adjustable Lift Shackles for 1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ - 1077

Getting the old ones out was a nightmare. but what do you expect for 30 year old hardware that's never been touched.the new ones went in great. make sure you don't have a custom exhaust or you might need to get creative as the bolt came into contact with my exhaust when putting it together. i made a bracket to lower the rear exhaust hanger with metal and a welder.

Only one thing wrong with this kit. One of the bolts supplied are the wrong thickness. Just used the old bolt on each side and everything worked perfect. Its a nice quality part otherwise. I wouldn't let a small thing like a bolt deter me from using this kit. Everything else in the kit was spot on.

I installed these on a 1998 Jeep XJ Cherokee sport. The kit was cheaper than 1 original Mopar shackle. The installed very easily and gave me the ability to adjust the rear height which the originals did not. Also they are much heavier and look beefier than the originals.

The media could not be loaded.  Works as it should, changes the ride slightly, make sure to also properly camber your front driveline to avoid Death Wobble commonly known in jeeps. (Google it) simple fix at any alignment shop.

Extremely easy to install on my 1996 Jeep Cherokee.This fit perfectly, was self-explanatory, and felt very sturdy. Just be careful to note that the bolts are not all the same size. Two are shorter, and two are longer.Looks great, along with the rest of my lift.

1989 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. Leafs are worn and pretty much flat. Since i put 31s the fender will rub on the tire when i hit ditch or bump. This shackle works great to provide the clearance i need. I still will be replacing the leafs but this shackle is a great work around for now. Oh and it is not regreasable so make sure you grease up your bushings before you install them. Installed in about 20-30 minutes. Very simple and easy. Just used the existing nut and bolt instead of the hardware it came with

Easy to install and look great. Definitely put my 01 Xj up almost two inches. I found the grade and thread pitch on the bolts wrong. Well worth getting a higher grade bolt with the correct thread pitch

I installed this on a '92 XJ. The install was super easy, and luckily my Jeep had no rust whatsoever on the old hardware despite being 30 years old. I installed these with new rear leaf springs and left the original front springs. It now sits about 0.5"-1" higher in the rear up from being down about 1" in the rear. Ride quality actually improved (probably due to new bushings), and no vibrations are felt.Do not install these with old springs, it will exacerbate the sag in the old springs and may even invert them. Install these with stock new rear leafs, and it will look and ride better than ever!
