Steamer Basket for Instant Pot, Stainless Steel Vegetable Steamer Basket Insert for Pots (3qt)

I love to steam/pressure cook veggies in my 3Qt Instant Pot. Unfortunately, IP doesn't make steamer baskets in that size, so here I am. I chose this one because the one-piece construction feels a lot sturdier and easier to clean than a mesh basket, and after a month of using it several times a week, I do not regret my choice.It's very sturdy, the stainless steel is thick enough, and the whole thing is smooth. The little silicon thingy on the handle is very useful to avoid burning your hands (!).Pour 1 cup of water in the IP's inner pot, put the steamer basket over that, with your veggies inside, and just cook. Then lift if out, put it in the sink and let it drain a bit (this seems to be necessary for some veggies that retain water even if steamed). Doubles as a very nice colander, and is extremely easy to clean - nothing gets in the holes. I wash it by hand in 10s, so I can't say how well it'd do in the dishwasher.I only wish they made a shallower one so I could stack it on top of my high trivet and cook something else below.

We don’t use for this for an Instapot.We use this for soaking Speedi Beet beet pulp flakes for our horses. The 6 quart size fits perfectly into an 8 quart bucket. We strain the soak water through a fine mesh stainless steel colander to catch the fines that make through the colander (very minimal).For our purpose, this colander is much more sanitary than the similar type mesh colanders.

Perfect size and good depth.

I really like this steamer basket. It arrived with a little dent but that's not the manufacturer issue as Amazon shipped it with a plastic bag mailer. The basket itself works great but the little tube like handle cover is a bad idea. I removed it because it just collects gunk while cooking and you cant clean it out.

Needed a replacement basket in my 8 qt instapot as the previous one that came in it the finish had come off . This one fit perfectly . Just what I needed!

This is so much easier to use than a regular folding steaming basket inside the instant pot. I love that it's easy to clean, and I love that it has the silicone on the handle so that it's easy to just lift out and dump into a bowl. This has streamlined my steaming of vegetables so much. I'm following the medical medium protocol, so I steam a lot of vegetables nearly every day. This thing is a godsend. I got rid of my folding steaming basket, because it was just too hard to use, and it kept falling apart. And if I ever need to use this basket in another pan other than the instant pot, it's going to come in handy for that too. I'll never go back to using the old folding steaming basket.
