We got this and in less than 12 hours our pool water went from cloudy to clear. Easy installation and well worth the price. Wish I had purchased sooner!

I bought this separately for the best way pool that did not have a very good pump. This is an excellent pump, however, you need to buy separate connectors for the pool tubing. I had to go to Lowe’s to find the right connectors and it was a bit of a job, but once I got them it works fine. It does leak a bit at the seams at times, but that could just be my fault. Anyway, it keeps the pool sparkling clean. I only run in about two hours a day for a 2000 gallon pool.

Pump was taken out of the box for pool today was used last year for the summer few months now I want to use and its dead does not turn on. This pump did not last long at all Im very disappointed.

Used with a 18’x9’x48” Intex oval pool.Pros: size, weight, very quiet, price, inexpensive media balls, looks good.Love the size. Does not take up space and tucks between the pool legs. Doesn’t weigh a ton so easy to move about if you have to work on it. Motor seems to suck well and is nice and quiet. Cheap, but corners were cut.Cons: cheap plastic aerator with even worse rubber washer, difficult to open/close main ring, no timer, does not come with hoses, vertical placement of outlet valve forces hose to bend down awkwardly (i can see this would prematurely break the hose. Created an easy work-around with a zip tie. See photo.) *edit: No backwash or any other cycle options. Filtration only.That said, i still feel it is a worthy option and value for money, even for one season. Hope i don’t need to bleed the air valve much, if at all, that thing is not sturdy. For a timer, i connected to a smart-plug (i use the ring smart plug because you can program each plug separately.) Adequate hoses came with the inadequate pump which shipped with the pool itself. Only needed to buy one adapter and valve for the smaller sized outlets. My pool has two and came with a T to tie the smaller tubes together but you could close off one and just use one outlet to the filter. They’re made with two now for safety (suction) reasons.Have barely used it for a week but water is nice and clear. 5,000 or so gallon pool… probably only has to run 3-4 hours in the sunniest of conditions. If anything unusual changes, i shall report back!** UPDATE 4/23: going into season number 2. Pool started going lightly green and suction was very low at filter. I never once checked the media filter balls or cleaned the little basket all season last year and only last week decided I was up for cleaning it. Media balls were soooo bad and green. Which is to say, they worked great! I even bought a new sand filter thinking it was time to switch over from this experiment. I bought another package of media balls thinking i would just use this filter to do the initial start-up clean and switch over. HOWEVER, the filter is cleaning like gangbusters and the pool is sparkling clean again. This filter really is a surprise. Still same drawbacks as i mention above. Taking it apart and putting it back together was not too bad. I wasnt as bothered with making sure it was all tight because it is ridiculous to open and close. All is fine tho. No leaks. So i will stick with this until it gives up. Oh, and it survived/lasted through the torrential rains we had here in California.

Cleans water crystal clear faster an water feels soft all I had to get extra was fitting 9 bucks plus pump cost an tax to have a cleaner pool def a lot better then factory pump hardly blowing water out now it has a strong flow

This pump has kept my pool clean and clear. The only downside is having to purchase a heavy duty hose since the pump is too powerful. I also had to purchase the hose adapters as it they don’t come with the pump itself. I still give it a 5 start review.

Filters water. The gauge came broken so it doesn’t work. But other than that filters water. Doesn’t come with hoses or an adapter for the pool. Ended going to homedepot and lowes to buy separate pipe links and hoses.if I could return it, I would if I knew I was going to spend the money on separate parts. But you’ll be screwed either way if you pay for something cheaper at least this one works. Just beware you will need extra parts. 1 1/2 inch adapter to a 1 1/4inch in order to fit the pool.

Works pretty well, the only set back is the cut off time. It cut off and takes a long time to cut back on. But it is amazing, even without the meter working. Best buy, and worth investing in.
