Not for Everyday Use
I am a Home Inspector and have a telescoping extension ladder and was excited to purchase a ladder that would work as both an extension and a step ladder. This ladder in my opinion is dangerous. The ladder does not lock to prevent uplift it only locks under downward pressure and is a safety hazard. Recommend a qualified professional redesign.Additionally, the ladder locks must be disengaged one at a time making the process of folding up the ladder a time-consuming effort. Recommend a redesign to have the locks function like the Omaha Extension Teleschoping ladder, I hope Omaha comes out with a step/extension ladder soon to replace this one.

Wobbly, but very well made. Keep it clean!
If you're scared of heights, and weigh in over 200 lb (this is rated for 330, and I weighed 260 at the time of this writing), it WILL WOBBLE. Do not be alarmed. It helps to set it up a little more vertically than you might do with a non-collapsing ladder. Fit, finish, material are all A+. Opens and closes with satisfying clicks. Keep it clean, and it will keep collapsing easily. Get paint on it, and you're going to have to clean it before you can collapse it. Yes, the fit is that close, that a coat of stray paint could stop it from stowing.

Heavy ladder...nice compact to fit into closet
The 12.5 foot ladder itself is heavy indicating it should be sturdy. I read the reviews and still bought one to see for myself. Will probably only use it to 7 foot height.- Extending each section have to be careful and make sure it locks into place.- Plastic locking tabs seem to hold up, but not sure for longer term.- Works well in the 6-7 foot height (A-frame position), but still shaky (each telescoping section) when near the top- Nice compact fold up- Folding up ladder not as easy as I thought - drop 1 section on left....then 1 section on right...repeat each section- Tried the full length ladder against the house and would prefer to keep it in A-frame position

A little scary to climb.
I like the fact that I can handle this ladder on my own. I'm a petite woman and used to regularly work on ladders at my past job. It's hard to tell if all of the rungs are locked all the way sometimes. I also don't like trying to pick up the ladder when you purposely don't have all the rungs locked. It's loose and you can't pick the ladder up quickly to move it around.

Spend the money to buy a better one
Very difficult to carry around without legs wanting to extend. Strap used to help carry ladder is cheap and broke after first few days. When used as a step ladder extended, wobbles like crazy even on level ground. I have used telescoping ladders in the past but this one, although cheap, you can definitely tell. I wouldn’t buy it even If I could get it for half off. It does however work great as a 3 foot step ladder, but that’s about it

An acrobat wouldn’t be able to use this thing
I had it extended for only 3 rungs and was in the A-frame position and as I climbed to the second rung, and it started to tip forward and the side I was standing on extended another ring all on its own. I “stumbled” off the side of it and wasn’t hurt at least.

Versatile, collapses to a managable size. A bit light for heavy person when extended.
This is a heavier ladder than I thought from the photos. Both ends are tapered to a fairly large diameter base, about 4 inches in diameter or more. It can be used as an A shaped step ladder. We used it straight to get on top of an RV. We did that with it extended straight but it felt a bit bowed in the middle when my husband climbed it and he only weighs 145 lbs. It is easy to fold up and store and is very versatile. It is lighter than a regular ladder and we were only going to use it on the travel trailer but decided to keep it at home since it is easy to store. It would easily collapse into a closet size!

Do not buy
This ladder was a huge waste of money. The rungs are small, it's not sturdy, it doesn't always lock into place. I wish I had used it when I got it rather than waiting until I needed to use it because I would have immediately returned it. Instead, my wife fell off of it when it decided not to lock, and I got paint all over my bathroom floor. Thankfully, she wasn't over 4 feet. She could have gotten seriously injured if it were any higher. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!
