Expensive but do actually work! Went to India with two of these and had no problem with drinking local tap water that had been cleaned through this water holder. Easy to charge with USBC socket and lasted for weeks. No issue with smells or taste. Would recommend.

While this bottle was a little (well, a lot to be quite honest!) pricier than I’d have liked I do believe it lives up to its expectations. I have no real solid proof that the light really does eliminate bacteria, so it would be interesting to see what the (if any) literature out there says, but I do believe the water tastes cleaner! Still, could be the placebo effect at work. Either way this is a smart and sturdy high quality bottle that looks the part and that’s enough for me.

As somone with the immune system of a sea cucumber, I simply cannot live without this bottle. I wish I knew that this existed sooner! Works as stated, the UV is strong, and it not only cleans the bottle, but also the water inside, which is great when you're not so sure about the water that you're drinking, its like a saftey net (but water should be drinking safe anyway). Thank Mia Marbles for reviewing this! If she didnt I would of never of known of its existence, cant live without it now.

Great design- love how premium the bottle feels- good quality stainless steel (no smells whatsoever when drinking from) which illustrates the quality of materials used. Leak proof and I like the the case it comes with to help protect it from scratches. Perfect size for carrying out and about and doesn't feel heavy at all. 3 stars as unfortunately the UV light stopped working after pretty much 2 uses which destroys the entire purpose of this bottle. UV lid replacements (and the actual bottle itself) are also very expensive and if you are using it for day-day drinking from UK tap water its generally quite unnecessary/gimmicky. Interesting concept however.

This is what my grandson asked for, for Christmas. It cost more than I usually spend but he was so keen to have it (maybe his friends have one too?!). It was delivered ahead of time and looks very smart, but I can't say whether it works or not as it's a present for Christmas, so is still in its box.

Bought this after some positive reviews and for the promise of a clean smelling metal bottle all the time. It absolutely delivers, one quick tap on the lid and the bottle cleans for 60 seconds and then auto cleans every 2 hours. I use it every day, sometimes leaving water in for quite a while and it always smells fresh and clean. It keeps the water nice and cold and I think this design with the silicone sleeve is actually better than the other model, it's really comfortable to hold and sturdy stood on a surface. Another pro is the lip, it makes it so much easier and more comfortable to drink from than other metal bottles I've had. Battery life on the standard setting is about a month and it charges in am hour or so. It also comes nicely presented, almost like a bottle of whisky. Undoubtedly pricey but it's quality is obvious and keeps your water fresh and bottle clean.

I was unable to use the bottle due to its strong metallic smell. I only ever used it for water and tried to wash it with normal dish soap and bicarbonate of soda, as Larq advised, but nothing worked. Couple of hours after putting water in, it smelled so strong I couldn’t drink it. Thermal insulation is very poor. Bottle isn’t particularly light. Overall, v overpriced for v unclear benefits: Amazon helpfully arranged a refund.

Scrivo questa recensione dopo quasi 7 mesi di utilizzo. La bottiglia è come tante altre. La differenza la fa il tappo che contiene un led UV che, ciclicamente, depura l'acqua. Da quando la uso non ho mai sperimentato quel cattivo odore che si crea all'interno delle bottiglie, nonostante le abbia sempre lavate e disinfettate con frequenza. Come capitato ad altri, recentemente, ho avuto un malfunzionamento con il tappo (LED verde fisso) e sistema di depurazione non più funzionante. Visto il costo ho deciso di chiedere supporto al servizio LARQ (in inglese). Ho seguito le istruzioni (veramente semplici) e compilato il form presente sul sito, a cui ho allegato la prova d'acquisto (fattura amazon) e foto del tappo con il led fisso. In una settimana circa mi è arrivato il tappo sostitutivo. Direi che l'esperienza, nel suo complesso, è risultata positiva.

Best water bottle ever. I took it on a two trip to Europe and it was a life saver. Easy to use, the charge lasted the entire trip, sleek and slim so it fit easily into my bag, and best of all I never had to worry about dehydration or the xtra cost of buying water.

Die LARQ Bottle Movement macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck. Sowohl die Verarbeitung als auch das durchdachte Design der Flasche haben mich durchgehend überzeugt. Die Flasche reinigt das Wasser periodisch automatisch, wobei der Reinigungsprozess auch manuell mit einem Druck auf den Deckel gestartet werden kann. Die Reinigung wird dann mit einem schönen leuchtenden Rand auf der Oberseite der Flasche angezeigt. Da ich die Flasche noch nicht allzu lang habe, kann ich noch nichts langfristiges sagen, aber bisher hatte das Wasser immer einen frischen Geschmack, auch wenn es schon länger in der Flasche war. Fazit: Empfehlung für die Flasche meinerseits. Sowohl das Design als auch die Funktionalität haben mich auf ganzer Linie überzeugt, einzig einen USB-C Anschluss zum laden hätte ich mir gewünscht.

I have a bad tendency to just keep adding water to my water bottle—without cleaning it. This solves that problem. My water tastes clean!

I was apprehensive that this bottle would do all that it says it would but after reading some reviews on tech sites I decided to give it a try. Wow, I am glad that I did. Aesthetically it is pretty nice looking water bottle with a good rubber grip on the lower section and a matte, metallic upper portion. Easy enough to use with simplistic button presses and a pretty substantial battery life also. I have never washed the interior since I have bought it and unlike my older workout water bottle that I wash regularly (and it still stinks) this bottle smells like the day I first got it. It is ideal for taking on hikes. Filling it up at waterfalls, streams, creeks and even lakes and giving it a blast of the adventure mode the water tastes great and the bottle doesn't smell like the water source for long. As of yet I have not gotten sick from it either. They are typically Rocky Mountain streams and lakes too so there are definitely worse water sources out there. Just a few negatives; Hard to tell just where to fill it up to as seeing the protruding component on the lid may cause water to overflow out when you put the cap on. Also, being a single walled construction it doesn't hold its temperature for very long, especially in sunlight. Definitely better than a plastic bottle however. Leading to my next con; even with a single walled construction this thing is pretty heavy when filled. A lot of the weight coming from the lid with the battery and components of the UV-C light. Also, as you can see (from the pictures) under the cap and where it contacts the bottle the paint is coming off on both. It was like this pretty much when I got it but it doesn't seem to be flaking off more as of yet which was my concern with such a pricey water bottle. Overall I would definitely recommend this to those who are sick of cleaning water bottles just to have them still smell and for those who hike to remote areas and do not want to carry a Camelpak and can safely refill your water without worry of micro-bacteria.
