Great Taste
Use it on steak or put it on rice. Its even great on fried potatoes and lots of other things. Its pretty runy compared to modern day tomatoe ketchup, but its how ketchup was traditionally made.

Very salty flavor
Resembles a very salty Worcestershire sauce. Has a deep flavor. Added a little to gravy I made and it was delicious.

Can somebody say Worcestershire!?
I'm trying to love it....but it pours like water, tastes like vinegary worcestershire and for $11 and waiting for shipping, it ought to be much better! I was looking for a culinary upgrade but I got a down turned mouth instead! Waaaaaaahhhhhhh!😫😫😫

Similar to Worcestershire Sauce-not Tomato Ketchup
So, I watched a video about how the original "ketchup" was made of mushrooms. It sounded good so I decided to get a bottle.I expected it to be more of a reduction that would cling to food. It turned out it was more like soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce. In fact, it would probably be a good vegan substitute for Worcestershire sauce.I did use it on some lamb chops my wife made that were not especially flavorful and it was a big improvement. I plan to try it in a Bloody Mary to replace the Worcestershire sauce.

It's good but not what you think.
I ordered this expecting something akin to tomato ketchup, a thicker sauce. It is something closer to Worcestershire sauce in its viscosity and overall flavor profile. It is still good and if you like that flavor it is definitely worth trying. It is different from Worcester and I can't quite describe it but it's good.

Love this stuff
I 1st herd of Mushroom Ketchup on youtube from Townsends and sons. Being to lazy to make it myself I was thrilled to find this on Amazon. It has quickly become a stable in cooking around my house.

Delicious
I've bought this before. I love it. It's in the same category in my books as Worcestershire sauce (it taste a lot like it), and I have used it as marinades for my steaks quite a few times.

Great Flavour, and Vegetarian-Friendly
I started buying this stuff about 10 years ago because I heard it was a good alternative for Worchestershire Sauce (Lea and Perrins) for my cheese on toast, and didn't contain anchovies, so win win! (For me, anyway.) I only bought it via amazon this time because my local supermarket is small and doesn't stock this, and since lockdown I've been staying local. It does have a similar flavour to worchestershire sauce but it's milder. It's great for adding flavour to sauces, mushroom soups, etc. I use it in a lot of my cooking to give a depth of flavour since I'm not cooking with meat, I also add it to risottos. Also, most importantly... it's great for cheese on toast!

My secret ingredient
I was beginning to think I’d never be able to buy this again, because I’ve been searching high and low for it for over 6 months. My usual local supplier couldn’t get hold of it. Saved by the bell, just as I was squeezing the last drops out of my last bottle. Being the chief cook and bottle washer in the household, it is an absolute must in my kitchen. My secret little ingredient that gives excellent flavour to many of my dishes.

Good strong flavour
You don't need much in the dish, to make the flavour pop out. I bought this as an experiment and thought it was cheap at the time, and it is because the quality is amazing with not just one, but 2 bottles. The flavour has an earthy quality which you'd expect from Mushroom ketchup but reminds me of a cross between Soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Works well in all kinds of foods from Chinese cooking to Italian to good old fashioned shepherd's pie. Try it, it'll become a permanent feature in your kitchen cupboards.

Very tasty flavour... love it!
I love this stuff on most things. My Nan n grandad used to have it years ago, and me and my parents would love using it on our food. It’s great on fry ups! There is no thickness to it, as it’s like a vinegar, rather than a sauce. This is why I put 1 out of 5 for thickness. It isn’t a fault, this is how it should be.Value I gave it 3 out of 5. Because years ago when Nan used to buy it, it was £2 in shops. I have also found it in shops few years ago for £2.50.So it’s expensive compared to that, but this product is hard to get now, so justifies the price been more expensive.But... this price was the cheapest I could find on Amazon.
