The crossbow is fully assembled. You will only have to mount the scope and quiver hardware out-of-the-box.

Why does the S440 have a forward draw and the other Tenpoint have reverse draw?

We offer a mix of reverse-draw and forward draw crossbows in our TenPoint lineup. The Viper S400 and Vengent S440 crossbows are forward draw and the Vapor RS470, the Havoc RS440 and the Siege RS10 are all reverse-draw. It really depends on your personal preference as to which one is best for you.
