Does NOT feel like melamine...I thought it was stoneware
Great color (for me)...weight of stoneware, shine of stoneware. Absolutely love these dishes! Merry Christmas to me!!

For the box to of been damaged the item was packaged very good. Was afraid they would’ve been broken but they was in perfect condition.

Not to be used in the microwave
I was searching for a new set of dishes when I found these. I loved the style & color, but failed to check out the material composition.It’s basically a type of thin plastic & I would never have made this purchase had I known that.Also, why would any company in their right mind make dishes that can’t be used in the microwave? In 2023? I was actually microwaving some food as I read on the box (dishes cleaned, I was breaking down box for recycling) not to be used in the microwave!The dishes are cheap feeling, too. Not worth the price. Still looking for a quality set with a style & color I like.Edit: The company reached out to me and gave me a full refund. I also noticed that there is now a more prominent statement that these plates are not to be used in the microwave. I raised my review to 4 stars. Thank you.

As nice, as it looks on line..
Probably like the shine on the plates as well as the design of them... Pleased that they are not on the heavy side. Very much looking forward to my Holiday meal on these pretty plates.......

Beautiful and very useful for daily use
I have arthritic hands and didn't want to keep breaking ceramic dishes, so i got this set. The melamine is not only beautiful, but thick and durable - completely dishwasher safe & microwave safe. I've had to return other thin melamine sets due to warping. This one is a keeper & perfect for daily use. They will last for many years!

Amazing
These look so high! They are so thick. I love the texture on them. When I first open them, I had to double check to see if they were plastic because they look and felt so real! Get them

Broken in Box
We bought this set for outside use to avoid breakage and glass on our patio. One of the large plates was already broken in the box though the exterior of the inner and outer boxes were unblemished.I think we'll look for something stronger
