Indoor use Perfect for bedroom
We've used this for several weeks in our daughters bedroom. we live in an extrely mosquito invested area and every morning she would have bites all over her. we didn't think it was working as no moqutos were caught. but just today i checked and found almost a dozen nasty fly's and mosquitoes in there!!Best part of this is that it doubles as a perfect Night Light! The unit produces a soothing fan sound that doubles as a noise maker. So, we were happy with that even though at first it didn't catch anything. My unit did not come with any bait or attrctant. i used Flowtrons self adhesive atractant and just stuck it on the unit.I'll contact the maker and see if they will send me the attactant.Overall, might not be a powerful Bug Zapper, but this is an ideal unit for indoor use, especially in a bedroom.

Caught just a couple flies in a room that has a ton of them. Not very effective. Plus you have to buy reloads of the scent it comes with, which is a drawback. Would not buy again.

This is a review by Oscar Jaeger, Lois Padawer's husband. The only thing this "bug killer" may kill is the unfortunate buyer. It arrived this morning and I set it up properly, but the fan did not work and all that happened is that the top of the unit heated up alarmingly. I shut off the machine and tried to contact the manufacturer but they appear to be out of business. Not exactly a surprise. A purchaser of one of their air conditioners reported online that it almost set her house on fire.

Don't buy this junk
I ordered one of these, and it arrived broken. The fan mounts that connect the fan to the main housing were broken because the mounts are constructed of much too small diameter plastic. The package arrived in very good shape, and the product was packed well so apparently they broke just from normal handling. Don't know if the thing works or not. I declined a replacement because of the overall low quality. The company representative initially said that I would have to ship it back at my expense to get a refund. After I argued on the phone about the absurdity of me having to pay return shipping,`they agreed to pay, but the return became a hassle necessitating quite a number of time consuming phone calls and emails. Save yourself some grief. Don't buy this cheaply built overpriced product.

Probably best light trap for the money. Price and function are perfect.
Spent lot of time researching these things before deciding on this one. (and different ways of dealing w/ these bugs) This one wasn't rated very popular, but the design looked the best so I took the risk. Glad I did, works perfectly.Black light is better then white light UV's for attracting mosquito's. [infrared vision for finding your juicy bits] Works on other bugs too. Produces CO2 attractant. (photocatalytic that also helps purify air) Has a 120mm computer fan which is larger then the 80mm I saw on another model. And given it's simplicity of design, for me it will last forever. (I'll just replace with a computer fan when burns out in a couple years) Case contains the sound, i can't hear it. Unlike other models, once the insects go in they can't get out. Trap pulls out from the back and is a mesh funnel trap self contained unit. (if you've ever researched how to make a insect trap out of a soda bottle, same principle)Light traps are light traps! Not magic, is some strategy in use. (placement, turning other lights off for maximum effect .. though I've caught a handful of bugs w/ the lights on)As designs go this is one of the best I've seen. The tiny mesh on this also means you can catch the smallest bugs that fly. At least one of the "no see-em's" I've caught was almost to tiny to see, even dead laying on the plastic tray bottom. This also caught a hyperactive fly that got into my room. (caught quickly after turned lights off and it was dead in the tray by the morning)Because of the finer mesh used in this design, you will have to clean the dust from time to time to prevent performance loss.I've caught a wide assortment of tiny (no see-em's) bugs that otherwise like to buzz my monitor and face. From the moment I turned this on, I've felt more comfortable, my stress levels dropped. Didn't realize the bugs had me so keyed up.Comes with a 10.4 oz bottle of 'all natural' attractant. Is a compartment in the front of the tray that pulls out that has a absorbent block (green hobby-craft material) you poor it on. (and air flow directs smell out that hole on the front, to waft up cycle back into the trap which is clever) After some weeks testing with and without, I do catch more insects w/ lights on when attractant is active. But I've only really filled it up once, added just a touch 2nd time when I emptied the trap. But mostly been relying the light. If a new bug is actively pestering me, sometimes I will just take a break from the computer. Turn all lights off but the trap and go fix some food. Usually when I return it's in the trap.Update: A stink bug got in my room. I never saw it, I just heard a 'clunk' sound from the trap. Then a little later I heard more clunking noise so went to investigate, and could see the stink bug trying to craw out but hitting the fans. Must have managed to stop itself before falling all the way down the funnel. So for next few hours I'd occasionally hear it pushing up against the fan blades trying to get out. But is no room for it slip past the fan blades, and it's dead in the catch now. So that's another win for this model. Good to know, as stink bug season is starting.

Catches a huge amount of bugs - but no mosquitoes.
The trap works to catch all types of flying bugs and insects. Whenever I set it up, in a couple of hours the catch basket is teeming with all sorts of flies, moths, beetles, and other unidentifiable flying creatures. So as an insect trap it is great.Unfortunately, I purchased this product to catch mosquitoes, not moths or flies. Since I started using the product, I have not caught a single mosquito. I have used the mosquito attractant provided (made of yougurt???!!!) with no luck.Maybe I'll try an Octenol or lactic acid attractant if I can find a way to attach it to the trap.
