Spark’s emotions and feelings matching cards was an incredible find for both my work and family! I am an occupational therapist and educator in a school, and I am always looking to build my students’ emotional intelligence to better help them meet their academic potential. I found this card game to be simple to play, yet full of potential to lead the discussion towards feelings and emotions going on inside the kids themselves as well as feelings and emotions that others may be experiencing around them. The box is compact and easy to transport, and the cards are durable (coated in plastic material) and look like they will last for a long time. The cards are multi-cultural and have a clean and modern look which make them an appealing game to choose. I bought the game for my kiddos at home but I will definitely need another one for work!!My kids at home (ages 5, 3, and 1) all loved the game as well!! They played so nicely together (the 1 year old mainly licking whichever cards her older siblings let her hold) and were thrilled when I sat down to join them on the rug. We played the game with the regular memory game rules, but whenever they found a match we talked about that emotion together. My 5 year old was actually able to sound out some of the words using the pictures as clues! Her favorite question to ask was “why is he angry, embarrassed, etc”. She was mainly concerned about the emotions that were unhappy emotions, so I was excited to work with that natural empathy and build on it. My 3 year old was listening to everything she said and enjoyed collecting the happier emotions more. That gave us a chance to talk about those important emotions contributing to a balanced and emotionally healthy body and mind. Again the durability of the cards is a huge plus and really a necessity with all those cute hands (and lips) involved! The box also looks super durable and made to last. We are looking forward to playing this more often and seeing how much more we can all grow together!

This games lives up to the standard. The illustrations are clear and colorful making it easy for my child to catch on and enjoy. The cards are high quality and well sized. It is fun and educational. I am 100% happy with this purchase!

As a curriculum coordinator, I am always looking for qualitative, thought out materials to advance language and literacy in our student population. These cards are incredibly well made, visually appealing and relatable to children. I love the wide range of emotions depicted, and the included activity ideas are excellent. So excited to share these with my teachers and students!!

I bought this game for my 3 year old twins...but in the end seems like I bought it for the whole family (ages 6, 9, 11 as well). I love that you can use the cards to play various games. The pictures are so eye catching and the kids love looking at them and they just automatically facilitate speech opportunities. Great product!!

These cards were a great size and the images included the full body so context clues can be used in helping determine emotions.

These are cards are great - as a speech therapist and as a mom, I see lots of uses for these. A friend recommended these to me for my child who has a hard time expressing her feelings. The thickness and durability of the cards are awesome. It comes with a great little insert that gives ideas for use - besides for working on emotions with matching, you can work on asking questions, cause and effect, why/how, describing...The cards were a real help in pinpointing what my daughter needed help working on in expressive language and pragmatics. The illustrations are fun too - great expressions!Would recommend to anyone with children or students that need help with receptive/expressive language!
