love this tent
Great tent, super roomy. I'm a Bikepacker and love the vestibule, large enough for my bike or bags to stay out of the elements, the entire tent and rainfly fits into my revelate handlebar bag. the tent poles do not, they are 16 inches long, so I will secure those to the downtube. but overall not the lightest tent, but very durable and I know I'll be comfortable after a long ride

Big Agnes Blacktail & Blacktail Hotel Tent
Its a really nice tent, I'm 6' 2" so I needed a little extra room which this tent has and the exterior room is really nice to keep gear out of the weather.

Fragile material, very small storage bag.
The idea for this tent is great and it has worked well thus far, but I have to say it is very fragile and not a tent I see lasting for more than a few years as I camp a lot for work and fun. The material is very thin and delicate and after 2 uses there were already multiple holes in the rain fly and the tents base in the main body. I was very careful while using it and I believe this may be from packing the tent up. The bag for storage is not big enough and even after carefully rolling it up nice and tight its not easy to load in the sack. Also, while packing it up today I notices there are some sharp pieces of metal in the rainfly/tent base, and this may be the reason for the holes... Short story long... I wish I had spent another 100 bucks and gone with a real mountain/backpacking tent.

New festie base camp
I bought this as an upgrade for what I have been using the past 10 years. I set it up as a test in my front yard. Easy to set up, well constructed, and the vestibule is roomy enough for me to sit on my low-profile chair out of the sun or rain. Plenty of gear pockets and loops for light and such. I can't wait to take this on my next European festival adventure!Edit: Took it to NL and UK. Easy to set up! Handled the rain & wind like a champ. LOVE this tent!

I love it!
I use this tent for the first time this weekend and it took me a little bit of time to figure out how to set it up but I absolutely love it! I could put my cooler, a camp chair and a small table in the vestibule. It was absolutely perfect!

Loved it, however not durable.
I loved this roomy tent and used twice so far, at my second camping trip at the beach, the pole wasn't strong enough for ocean breeze and broken. I was napping inside, all the sudden living space clapped and got covered by sand allover it.The original package included extra pole, I guess they know how fragile their poles are. It just so inconvenient and kinda scary to think about this happened in the middle of the night.

Works OK as a bikepacking tent
I ordered this tent as a last minute replacement for another tent that never arrived. I really liked the idea of the big vestibule and Big Agnus described it as a bike packing tent. I looked specifically for bike packer/tourer reviews of this tent on YouTube and found a few that were positive. What I could never find was a picture or video of a bike in the vestibule standing up. Still I took a chance that it was big enough to garage my bike at night during my trip.Well, I guess I should not have been that surprised to find that bikes don't fit unless you lay them down. I don't have a large bike. I have a XS Felt Broam for touring. I know this is really an entry level price for a Big Agnus tent so maybe my expectations were too high. The big vestibule is nice to have but it didn't meet my expectations or needs. The tent itself is roomy. I was using it alone and had plenty of room. I think I would have had no problem sleeping space wise had my teen been camping along with me. It would have been a tighter fit with me and my husband as we are both on the larger side. The pockets were all easy to access and hold the small things. It would have been nice to have the footprint included. I'm sure this is more a weight saving stat than a cost saving measure, but for some of these prices, just add and extra $20 and call it good. If I need to lighten things that badly I can choose to leave it out. Finally, and this is a problem I have with all tent manufacturers, there are only 8 stakes. It's not even enough for the Blacktail, much less the Hotel. You need 4 to stake the tent, another 4 to stake the vestibule and that leaves you 2 short to stake the smaller vestibule on the other side plus properly vent the tent by staking out the 2 walls perpendicular to the vestibules.I haven't decided if I will keep this or not. I probably won't return it to Amazon as I took it on a trip and put it through a pretty good trial but I might decide to resell and take the loss as the cost of use for my last trip.
