I love this mannequin head. The hair is just like mine so when I practice in it it's a much more realistic practice. The hair is so soft and there's a lot of hair. There is a hit of shedding but not a ton. It's to be expected with the type of hair.The hair came very matted I had to wash and condition it and comb it. Thw type of hair it forces you to be gentle inst2ad of treating it like straight weave.The mount is not the best but it works good enough for my needs. The hair also takes product really well and it washes well. I absolutely love it. So glad I found a mannequin with kinky/curly hair.I wouldn't say it's for beginners because the hair is kinky so it' requires much more patience and skill but at the same time most of us learn how to practice on our own hair. I'm a beginner but I'm patient and learn fast. For a beginner I wpuld recommend a straight hair mannequin first then move to one with kinky hair because it requires more TLC.

Full head of hair, great for practicing braids, Im so happy I got a kinky texture. It also came with a table stand to keep the mannequin sturdy. The hair is soft and thick with a kink to it that makes it easier to braid. Great, cost effective tool for beginners!

I liked that the hair was easy to part and I was able to get a lot of straight parts. The item I received doesn’t really look the picture that is shown. The hair texture is realistic and is what I was looking for, but it does shed quite a bit more than I would like.

The texture of the hair was soft and felt human like. The length was long and you definitely could braid, plait, and do different hairstyles. Very easy to use. My daughter loves it!

The media could not be loaded. It works perfectly for my purposes. I bought it to practice lighting techniques for photography. I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to attach it to a light stand when I ordered it but I thought I would figure something out and I HAVE! All you need is a super clamp, a block of wood and a light stand. Set up the mannequin head per the accompanying instructions, set up the light stand, screw the super clamp unto to the light stand and clamp the block of wood into the super clamp. Then clamp the mannequin head into the opposite end of the block of wood.For those using this mannequin head to practice combing black hair. The texture feels almost similar. I’m black and I’m not the least bit offended by the texture. I expected lots of shedding but it doesn’t shed as much as my own hair so I am quite satisfied.I’m happy I ignored the reviews and took the chance to buy this. I would recommend it.I love that it won’t take up much space in my small shooting area. It’s a cheap alternative to a life size mannequin. Being able to affix it to a light stand makes it possible for me to use it to do self portraits seated as well.It is good value for the money and I would gift it to little girls learning to plait their hair.

I had ordered this and when I opened the box I came to find the mannequin used, had the hair braided partially and hair tied up. It wasn’t wrapped in plastic or anything. I am extremely upset as I bought this to practice. On the other note, the hair doesn’t part well which wouldn’t help me with what I needed if you are looking for a clean part this isn’t it.

This doll is perfect to perfect your skills as well as show people how you braid. Can’t wait to start offering all types of services. The hair is thick, and does not shed. If it does, it’s VERY MINIMAL. Money spent GREAT.

She sheds too much it’s very much annoying

The hair on this mannequin head is really nice, but the head is quite small. Kind of “child” sized. I’m used to using mannequin heads that are a bit bigger, but still a great practicing head. Great texture, and delivery was fantastic!

The hair is really nice and easy to work with. I ordered a different manikin head and the hair tangled easy and was really thin so styles didn’t look as nice. This hair was a nice thickness, doesn’t tangled easily, and is a great length!

A lot of shedding and stray hairs. Hair feels waxy so might want to wash before use. Cheap plastic holder

I'm in Hairstyling college and wanted to get a mannequin head that could help with my curling and long haircuts. Because this mannequin is mostly synthetic, it's absolutely useless. Can't hold a curl, can't be washed and can't even be cut. The only thing it's good for is braiding, but not even fancy on the scalp braids, just your basic forwards and backwards braids for updos. Definitely don't buy if you're a student.
