This is a really solidly built little pedal, and it has a lot of features, cab sim on the signal even without the pedal on (can be turned off) . I particularly like that it can be used as a stndalone practice tool as it has both headphone jack and aux in jack sockets . Output for amp output for di and through as wellWell worth the money

This pedal is amazing for the price. Just knocking off one star as some things aren't clear.I've been using this pedal for practise, recording and live jams online through Jamkazam. The tones available are great and loadable IRs are fantastic (I purchased some for GK rig and love it). I haven't had any issues with latency as long as I use a decent usb cable, the cheap nasty ones for can find around Amazon don't play well with this device. Go for a usb from a trusted brand.I had issues with updating and connecting at first. Fortunately another review explained how to update the firmware (hold both pedal switches down while you connect the usb, this is in the manual as well). However, I was still getting connection issues. This was resolved by using a decent usb cable and not having Chrome open when you connect the pedal. For some reason Chrome hijacks the connection so make sure this is closed before connecting the pedal.I haven't used this for gigs yet but I'm looking forward to using it when gigs start again. Looking forward to being able to send cab sim signal to sound desk and in ears while having an unaffected signal going to my amp.

I've been unable to download driver and access software via NUX site. On reading reviews on bass chat etc many have the same problem. Do not buy, sound a bit extra and buy a Sansamp Bass Driver.I went over the return date with Amazon and they wouldn't refund the cost paid for this item.As with other reviews Amazon will not post this review as they censor negative comments about their company.

I bought this mainly for practice as it has an aux in and headphones out. Unfortunately the latter is quite low in volume and can't handle bass transients so increasing the gain will distort badly. And I only use a passive bass! I already have a DI preamp with cab sim, and was hoping to replace with the Nux. That would make redundant my preamp and even my USB interface. But a good headphone amp was the deal breaker. The IR wasn't that important for me and I found you just get bogged down matching amps and cabs, instead of practicing. If you don't have a preamp, DI box and USB interface, this can do all that, which is amazing (on paper, not sure about long term reliability). Not a great practice tool though and that was my main motivation.

I use this preamp as an interface with logic and Reason and for live music it has been a good tool to experience the entry level world of IR hardware/software system so far I’ve found ChopTones to be the best Ir’s IMHO. All in all it’s a great pedal and great value for the price.

Il prezzo forse leggermente più caro che su altri siti ma con Amazon vado sul sicuro. Per quanto riguarda il prodotto specifico ho bisogno di più tempo per valutarlo. Ma ad un primo utilizzo fa ottimamente il suo lavoro. Ma ha molte possibilità che devo esplorare.

Update der Rezension unten!Ursprüngliche Rezension: Was soll man zu so einem Produkt sagen? Die Hardware ist in der Lage, einen tollen Bass-Sound zu erzeugen und die Features sind prima, wenn... ja, wenn man das Gerät und vor allem die Software dazu ans Laufen bekommt.Im Lieferzustand funktioniert erstmal alles, aber ein wesentliches Feature des Gerätes ist die Editorsoftware, die den Wechsel der IRs für die Boxen und das Ampmodell zulassen. Um das Gerät mit der Software zu verbinden benötigt man ein Micro-Usb Kabel, welches nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten ist, genausowenig wie ein zwingend notwendiges 9V Netzteil. Von den drei Kabeln, die mir Vorlagen, ging nur eines... Dann muss man die Editorsoftware von der NUX Homepage herunterladen, das geht problemlos. Die Editorsoftware findet aber keine Connection zum Gerät und macht erstmal gar nichts. Um eine Verbindung zu bekommen, muss man die Firmware auf dem Pedal updaten. Dazu gibt es ein Firmware-Updater Programm auf der Homepage. Es ist aber nirgendwo beschrieben, wie man das Update vornimmt, denn nur wenn man beim Einschalten des Stroms am Gerät beide Fußschalter gedrückt hält, kann das Updaterprogramm den Kontakt herstellen. Darauf kommt man nur nach intensiver Recherche im Internet in englischsprachigen Foren. Wenn man dann das aktuelle Firmware-Update auf das Gerät gebracht hat, funktioniert im Standalone-Betrieb die Amp- und Boxensimulation nicht mehr. Und es gibt erstmal keinen Weg zurück, weil die alte Software nicht bereitgestellt wird. Um jetzt weiterzukommen, muss man sich von einem netten Mitstreiter in einem Bassforum die Firmware 1.2.7 schicken lassen, installieren und dann wieder die 2.0 drüber spielen. Dann erst läuft das Gerät wieder standalone. Theoretisch könnte es jetzt auch Kontakt zur Editorsoftware bekommen. Damit das auch wirklich klappt, muss man das Gerät and den Root USB Port anschließen und dort sollten keine anderen Geräte angeschlossen sein Dann muss das Kabel passen (bei mir geht ein Motorola Handyladekabel mit Powercharge Funktion) und dann muss man nach dem Starten der Software einmal unter About die Midischnittstelle auf das Gerät umstellen und auf Refresh drücken. Manchmal hilft auch das Umschalten des USB-Interface Modus von Reamp auf normal. Mit etwas Glück geht es dann und erst jetzt kann man alle die tollen Funktionen nutzen.Stichwort USB-Interface: der notwendige Treiber dafür ist nicht mit einem Hersteller-Zertifikat signiert, folglich weigert sich Win10 beharrlich, diesen auszuführen. Bei mir wurde schon der Download von der AV-Software als unsicher blockiert. Ich benötige diese Funktionalität nicht und habe deswegen nicht weiter herumprobiert.Fazit: tolle und leistungsfähige Hardware mit prima Sounds, Software katastrophal! Nur für technik- und Computer affine Menschen zu empfehlen. Ob der Hersteller jemals Ordnung in das Chaos bringen wird, muss die Zeit zeigen.5 Sterne für die Hardware, 1 für die Software (Null wären noch zuviel). Gesamt 3, aber nur, weil ich es jetzt ans Laufen bekommen habe.Update: Der Hersteller NUX hat jetzt ein Software-Update erstellt sowohl für die Firmware des Gerätes als auch die Editor-Software. Zunächst einmal klappt die Verbindung von Hardware und PC-Editor jetzt sofort und weiterhin sind auch die Warnungen bei den ASIO- Treibern jetzt weg, weil diese jetzt signiert sind.Das Gerät hat neue Features bekommen - so sind jetzt standardmäßig 8 IR Cabsims an Bord mit 8 weiteren Slots für eigene IRs. Weiterhin gibt es ein weiteres Ampmodel Starlifter neben den bisherigen AGL und MLD. Der Klang ist prima und gerade die Möglichkeit, eigene IRs zu laden ist genial. Leider kann man nach wie vor die IRs nur über den Editor umschalten - vor einem Liveeinsatz muss man sich also überlegen, welche man benutzen will (das gilt auch für das Ampmodel).Richtig gut ist der Reamp Modus, wo man eine Clean aufgenommene Bassspur über das USB Interface einspielen kann und diese dann am Gerät bearbeitet, als käme das Signal vom normalen Eingang. Man kann das bearbeitete Signal dann gleich wieder über USB in der DAW aufnehmen!Ebenfalls neue Features in der Software: ein Rythmusgerät (das eher schlecht ist) und ein Looper, der Passagen aufnehmen kann und sie dann im Kreis abspielt. Beides nett, aber nicht wirklich Kernkompetenz des Gerätes. Der Sound und die IRs gepaart mit den vielfältigen Anschlussmöglichkeiten machen das Teil aus - da ist der NBP-5 wirklich klasse und hat sich seine Sterne redlich verdient!4 Sterne gibt es jetzt von mir, auch die Software verdient diese jetzt!Eine Macke hat das Gerät: wenn man Audio über USB abspielt vom Rechner ins Gerät, dann wird auf dem Kopfhörer-Ausgang auf beiden Seiten nur der linke Kanal wiedergegeben. Dies ist für alle die schade, die zu Musik vom Rechner über die USB-Schnittstelle spielen wollen. Über die Aux-In Buchse geht die Stereowiedergabe auf dem Kopfhörer-Ausgang problemlos.
