Good replacement for Swiss Army watchband
I have a Wenger Swiss Military watch (model 7291X) and the little rings that hold down the band once it's buckled ended up breaking. I ordered this band as a replacement and it fits perfectly. There are only two differences as far as I can tell:First, this replacement band is a tiny bit stiffer than the original band. I'm sure it will break in.Second, the metal buckle part doesn't have the little Swiss Army cross on it the way the original band does. I ended up taking the buckle off the original band and putting it onto the replacement band (it fits perfectly) so it looks totally authentic.Taking the old band off and putting the replacement on was sort of a pain because you have to pinch these tiny spring-loaded pins and there's not a lot of wiggle room between the watch and the band proper, where you have to get into. I think that's the same for any watch band, though I'm no expert. Just be patient with it and you'll get it.It does what it's supposed to, though, and it looks good, so five stars.

Nice band, good price
Bands are very much a personal choice so it's hard to say if this is a great band or not. For me, it is since I value simplicity and utility. At under $13, it's a very good band.Retaining band is too loose to be useful, however. In addition, some of the stitching rubbed my skin to the point that it hurt. Had to put some moleskin strips on the band to alleviate that problem. It's much more flexible than the plastic band that shipped with my watch or even a leather replacement I purchased a while back. This makes it a much more comfortable band overall. Will probably by a second one to keep as a spare.

Great band, but...
This is the 2nd one of these I've bought (before this I was buying straight from Wenger). I think they look great and work very well. The only "problem" I have is that both little straps on the band, that hold the band in place after it has been clasped end up breaking. The first one in about a year and the second one about 6 months later. I have had this problem with every leather/plastic watch band I have ever owned, so maybe it is to be expected. Anyway, it is a good band for the price.

Unlike the original doubled up nylon band, the replacement ...
Unlike the original doubled up nylon band, the replacement band is only single thickness. The leather end with the holes for the buckle pin end is double thickness but each part is thinner than on the original band. The bottom leather portion that is against the skin is not well finished/tanned and is likely to readily absorb perspiration or water. My guess is that this band will not last as long as the original because the leather will soften/weaken from repeated exposure to sweat and water. Note: I am active and frequently work with my hands.

Scratchy
While I'm not overwhelmed by the quality, it also isn't dreadful. What takes it from an "okay enough 3 stars" to "just barely eh 2 stars" is how scratchy the band is. I wore it for not even a full day and had to take it off. I won't be wearing it again because after about five hours I had a red, irritated spot on my wrist that was sure to get worse with extended wear. I don't have super sensitive skin, so the irritation was an unpleasant surprise. Considering I'd hoped to wear it with a smartwatch that includes a sleep tracker, extended wear was exactly what I'd been looking for.

Good replacement, reasonably priced
The leather is not as nice as the original and when new the nylon on this one was rather stiff but that softened up with use. I had to shave off the slightest amount (barely anything) where it attaches to the watch to make it fit properly (maybe I ordered the wrong size?) but that is pretty minor and my alteration is unnoticeable. I would buy this again.

Armitron quality?
I cannot disagree more with the reviewers who extol the quality of this band, which I bought to replace the 20 mm black leather band that came with my Wenger watch. I was fine with the canvas / leather combo, having replaced a brown leather Wenger band with a canvas / leather Wenger band (not a knock off) about a year ago.The band I am reviewing weighs less than half the Wenger bands (both the leather and combo ones), and the materials are cheap and shoddy. I paid fifteen bucks thinking that was a fair deal for a quality replacement, but I could have gone to Walmart and bought a fifteen dollar WATCH with a better band than this one. A similar band alone would be five dollars or less. Some deal. The ONLY positive feedback I can give is that it fits. I considered two stars for this reason, but I feel that any positve rating would be misleading, as I have already ordered a replacement, and I recommend strongly against anyone ordering this band.

So Far So Good
I've only had this watchband for a month or two now. I like it so far. The real question in my mind is how long it will hold up. The last one I had (another brand) only lasted a bit over a year, so I was disappointed in it. I just hope this one has a longer lifespan. But for now, I'm rally pleased with it. My only comment is that it did not come with new pins (as is usually the case with a new band) - I had to use the existing pins.
