Chuck it 18 inch pro
I bought the 18inch pro model on a 4 dollar discount. I'd say this is money very well spent. The pro model is of a higher quality than a standard chuck it. It has nice grips on it so you don't feel like you're just holding a cheap piece of plastic in your hands. Anyone who's ever used a chuck it knows they help a great deal in playing fetch with your dog. Not only do they allow you to throw the ball faster and further, you don't have to bend down as far to pick that thing up off the ground.

Great for fetch at the beach for dogs, standard tennis ball size
Not a necessary upgrade from the original, but the size is the same the handle is just more grippy and more comfy and the colors are cooler. This works with standard sized tennis balls and is highly durable but I don’t let my dogs chew it to test it out. Great way to tire my Aussies out after work.

The price is a little high but the sturdiness is worth it.
I love these balls. They are very sturdy, colorful, very durable. There is no sound except thud. The Rottweiler chews on it as well as my yorkie. They love play with it. You would not know that a Rottweiler chews on it every day for hours at a time. Yet it holds up great. So for the Chewability i would give it 100%.

Really gives Abby a workout
Abby is a Feist Terrier. 2nd to chasing Squirrels in her book is playing ball. This allows me to throw it far enough to entertain her while providing some protection to my poor, old, shoulder. This is our second one which is why I knocked off one star. My wife uses it too, but insists on throwing underhand. At times, that causes it to drag on the ground. On the original one, the end is all chewed up and it has cracked at the molding seam. It still mostly works, but doesn't project the ball quite as far or as accurately. Hence the replacement. For MY use. It is fair to say it's a good enough toy that it was worth replacing. Nothing I've found will allow me to throw Abby's ball as far.

I love this and my dog loves it more
Love this and my dog loves it more. The longer length makes it easier to throw and the ball goes farther. It will hold any ball the size of a tennis ball.

I've not found anything better.
Terrible for juggling, stirring peanut butter, or scooping ice cream. But for throwing a tennis ball, it's the best I've used. Also works with the 2.5" rubber balls. Just replaced my chewed one I've been using for 15 years. It out-lived the dogs it was bought for, so pay the extra and get the nice rubber grip - the square handle one kind of sucks for comfort. Also an effective back scratcher.

effortless and well designed.
These things are awesome. Makes throwing effortless. I keep several of them in the vehicles for travel and at home.

Would not buy
It is not worth buying. The grip is so rough that it rubbed my hand raw with blisters. The design is bad as the ball will not fly up and out like the other longer chuck it.

Amazing love it. With the balls it works perfect. When the ball is new it's a little tight but give some time and they match

I've purchased 3 of these (and one glow in the dark version) The Pro 18M is great for medium to large back yards The smaller basic 12M is good for small spaces like tiny back yards or the garage. Not sure if this information is helpful to anyway but: I find anything larger than 18M is to hard for me to launch the ball, I need to use both hands and swing my body, it ends up hurting my arm and my back (I am a small/lightweight person without much strength in my hands) The rubber grip is good when I have my gloves on but it can actually hurt my fingers when I don't have my gloves on, My hands are quite sensitive, so will probably be fine for anyone else. It seems a little heavier than the normal launches without the rubber grip but I find that tint but if extra weight in the launcher with its shirt stature helps launch the ball. Pictures attached show the 12M launder (small one in front) followed by a few versions of the 18M size, you can tell which style you are purchasing but the handle)
