The Best Information on Kidney Disease and Prevention I've Ever Found!
8/12/2021 - Update: Following this book's advice raised my GFR to 58! Very happy! It had gone down to 42 six months ago. My nephrologist is going to be impressed! :))))**********************As someone who has chronic kidney disease (CKD) at stage 3a, I'm interested in anything that can prolong my life especially since my GFR dropped five points to 47 since October 2020. I have tried ground flaxseeds which helped me for years but now that does not seem to be working as well. So what to do? Read a book on supplements to see if anything else will work! The author of this book has been through dialysis and a kidney transplant and very much wants you to be able to avoid his experience. His program is based on information he obtained through reading and researching 1500 peer reviewed journal articles. That saves you a lot of time if you are in stage 3 and know you have to save time to get ahead of the problems. This author also has a cookbook and believes diet is as critical as it gets. This book starts with much needed basic information about the kidneys. I had no idea they were so small! The book then progresses to teaching you which supplements you need for various conditions you may experience. I'm already taking seven of the supplements recommended. Have to start taking three supplements I already have and need to buy three supplements that I think could increase my chances of living longer. Some of the questions this book answers include:What is the real reason for fatigue and anemia in advanced stages of CKD?When does kidney failure result? At which GFR level? What is the GFR of each stage? (glomerular filtration rate)What are the most common symptoms of CKD in the later stages? What diseases can cause kidney damage? How can you control inflammation? The only caution I would suggest you take seriously is not to take wormwood. That stuff is toxic to the brain and can cause mental problems. Mushrooms can also lower blood pressure so be careful with supplements.Otherwise I felt this book contained the best information on kidney disease and prevention I've ever found in the last ten years. It is well worth reading, is nicely formatted and is very well organized. I also found it very easy to read for anyone new to the whole Chronic Kidney Disease situation. I found it all to be a very pleasant reading experience and worth every penny. This book is a fast read and will save you a lot of time! The author also seems to offer personal coaching which seems to me to be needed because nephrologists pretty much only tell you to avoid salt and protein but don't cover all the things you will read in this book. The author is very knowledgeable about all things kidney. I highly recommend this book!A book that you should also consider is: "Staying Healthy with Stage 3 Kidney Disease" by The Medical Education Institute. With these two books you will be very informed on what you are facing in the years ahead.~The Rebecca ReviewP.S. The acacia fiber recommended in this book is working great to clear up my skin. You really should read about it in this book!

User Friendly Guide and Resource to Supplement Kidney Health- A Must Buy!
This book is an excellent resource for anyone dealing with any kind of kidney disease. Robert Galarowicz put together a well-written and easy to follow guide based on science and research. He has gone above and beyond to help guide his audience be more informed of the nutritional supplements , nutrients to reduce kidney stress, and much more. The layout of this compact book is very organized and is filled with a generous amount of knowledge and healthy living tips. A really helpful part of the book is providing supplement product information with dosage along with phone numbers, website links, and addresses to reach supplement suppliers. Even though this book is written to help the kidney function it also offers a broad range of information to other imbalances/illnesses that can coincide to kidney disease. I plan on sharing this with my family members who have other imbalances that may contribute to kidney disease as a guide to help them manage their health. Definitely a must have book as a guide to learning about kidney disease and how to manage it healthy with supplements.

This book helped me
I wanted to take some supplements for my ckd, but not sure of which ones. This book was the reference I was looking for. I began a few of the recommendations and after about 70 days I went for a blood test and surprisingly got some improvement in kidney function. This book can really help if you want to know what supplements for ckd are good for you. It also has each kidney disease listed and what is best to take.

This book truly is an amazing find...
First of all, wow! Who knew our kidneys are so important? As an anemic person, the 150 mg the kidneys can eliminate on a daily basis seems like a lot. They also regulate many things such as hormones, vitamins, waste, etc.Electrolyte regulation is also very interesting because when i first became sick my kidneys would dump my potassium and my blood pressure would bottom out. While educational, reading about kidney diseases as well as dialysis made me bit sad because I could be in that position. I did find that part informative still and knowledge helps us grow.

Buyer beware- this is nothing less then a rip off
This is NOT a book It is a booklet consisting of 100 pages with large type and space between the lines making it more like 50 or less pages. $20.00 for a quarter inch thick booklet is nothing less then pitiful and an absolute crime. This looks more like the freebies you pick up at a hospital waiting room. Save your money and go elsewhere!

Amazing information about natural supplements for the kidneys.
Having a family history of kidney disease, I became very afraid when I got a kidney infection a few weeks back. After being cleared by doctors of the infection I decided I needed to take my health more serious. Dr. Galarowicz’s guide led me down the right path in a healthier life. What I liked best is all the information on natural herbs for our health. I notice I try to make daily changes and have became more thoughtful to things that are not healthy for my kidney. Great guide and very helpful.
