Product arrived in badly damaged box. While the unit itself seemed undamaged, the internal walls of the tank showed an number of marks / scratches.The most alarming issue, though, was the electrical supply cable. A C14 to euro socket cable supplied which is fine for Europe (and has an earth connection), but it's supplied with the nastiest UK travel adapter I've ever seen, which does NOT include an earth connector. Using the product as supplied will mean your unit is NOT connected to an earthed or grounded supply, which contravenes the highly prominent warning label on the unit itself, AND MAY RESULT IN A RISK TO LIFE!Do NOT substitute the supplied lead with a typical PC supply cable, as these are typically unearthed. Use a fully earthed C14 to UK socket cable, or cut off the euro plug and replace it with a UK plug IF YOU ARE ELECTRICALLY COMPETENT.Having requested a replacement / refund for the scratches and unsafe electrical supply, the vendor responded very quickly and asked me if the device was faulty. I connected the unit with my own (safe) power cable, to find that it didn't actually work, and the vendor (again) responded very quickly and offered me a refund or replacement. I elected for a refund, and the vendor asked me to dispose of the unit.I've given the review an additional star for speed of resolution, but don't feel it's appropriate to remove the review while consumers are being supplied with an unsafe product. PLEASE ensure you use a grounded IEC C14 to UK 3 pin cable with the appropriate fuse.

I bought this Ultrasonic Cleaner to regularly clean some carburettors for my son's racing kart, however it has proved really useful for cleaning a lot of things around the house. I'd recommend purchasing some cleaning fluid to go with it, as well as setting aside a decent amount of time to get the unit up to temperature before cleaning what you need to. For the price it really can't be beaten.

The packaging this comes in is ok, except that the cable and basket are just inside the machine without anything to stop them moving around. Mine was fine, but feels like the power lead could dent/damage the inside of the machine.There are no instructions, but it is fairly obvious how to operate. Youtube/google are your friends for working out how to make the most of it (eg lots of people suggest only using water, then adding your cleaning solution and parts to be cleaned to a large sealed jar to save having to clean the while machine every time you use it). 3L is still a fairly small machine. I bought mine for cleaning bike parts, and it will fit one carb body, but you can't fit a whole rack of carbs in. Would probably need a 10 or 15 litre to be able to do that. Bear in mind that the wire basket is fairly clumsy looking, but also has very wide gaps between the wires, so small pieces will easily drop through it. Amazon asks for my "sheerness" rating on this machine. I haven't a clue what that's supposed to refer to, but I've given it 1 star as you can't see through it!

Item was not as described. A10 litre machine was ordered, a 6 litre machine arrived with labelling for a 10 litre on it. The instructions sent were not for this machine. If that was not enough there was the problem of the plug. It does not fit UK sockets. It does not meet with UK/ EU standards and IT HAS NOT BEEN EARTHED!! The seller said i could return the item but sent a label for an address in Prague which WAS NOT prepaid!!!!!. I have had weeks of a constant battle with the seller and had to take out a case for a refund with Amazon A -Z guarentee. Be warned, this is an Amazon Market place purchase so you might have a battle on your hands to get a refund even for an item that is clearly faulty and not as described, although it is lawful in the UK if you get a problem with a seller, unlike a product purchased direct from Amazon. Not all market place sellers are like this but it is up to us customers to alert buyers of problems from particular sellers as a warning.

This is an ideal ultrasonic for the hobbyist due to its price it's not as powerful as a professional unit it just takes longer to work. THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY THE MACHINE MUST BE EARTHED. THE LEAD SUPPLIED FOR THE UK HAS AN ADAPTOR THAT GIVES NO EARTH CONNECTION .This is a safety issue as the machine is all metal and filled with liquid. Get an adaptor that connects all three pins or cut off the plug supplied and put on a UK one with a 5 amp fuse. The other option is to find a lead with the appropriate plug on it.

Tried the cleaner and the ultrasonic action works ok, the smaller bath heats up quickly, I got the smallest one.I mainly got it to clean bicycle chains as they are messy to clean and with the quick clips on nowadays its quicker to remove them, you can then clean the gears whilst your chain cleans.However, these units are supplied with a EURO plug lead, The adapter that they supply for UK distribution does not give fault protection continuity, ie the adapter does not connect the earth pin...It is a PC kind of connector on the unit, so my advice is, use a different lead, or, cut the plug off and put a UK one on.Just to be clear, if you use this with the adapter supplied, and the case becomes live, you will get an electric shock that could be lethal.

The 10l one just about fits a full bank of 4 bike carbs in one go if you omit the basket. The heater is poor so use hot water and mix in your cleaner. The unit will maintain it. 30 mins is your lot when it comes to time. I soaked mine at 80 degrees, the max for the unit for 2.5 hours. Came out as clean as a whistle after sitting for 10 years with fuel in them.The bike wouldn't run before and fired first time after cleaning.Worth it to avoid the hassle of sending parts away.

Loses a star because it came with a euro plug and adapter even though instructions clearly state the machine should be earthed.Other than that, it did a good job on my carburetor and also my stainless steel cutlery.
