Works with racing wheels!
I had a specific use case in mind with this. Basically, racing wheels are big and bulky, and very expensive for Saturn, so I didn't want console specific wheels. I wanted to be able to get two generic wheels and use them with both Saturn and Dreamcast.I picked up a "Subsonic Racing Wheel Universal" (cheap off craigslist), which supports PC, Xbox one, PS3, and PS4. Verified that it worked in my PC, and checked the button/wheel mapping and found that it was using the left analog stick (left/right) for the wheel, the pedals map to LT & RT. I then tried using the wheel plugged into a Brook Wingman SD with my Saturn. (I did have to plug in an xbox one controller into the wheel, since that's how you put the wheel it into a specific system mode.) I loaded up Daytona Championship Circuit, and lost badly, but the controller worked great! Better than expected, actually, where the wheel worked correctly, and was in analog mode, the pedals were mapped correctly, and, bonus, the paddles on the wheel for shifting gears were also mapped correctly for shifting gears. I'm not sure that all games will work with the same mapping, but I was very pleased that everything worked as expected on the Saturn. Will update if it does or doesn't work with Dreamcast, but I suspect it will work just fine.UPDATE: I updated the firmware, and using a racing wheel does work with Dreamcast as well. Only downside is that Dreamcast has fewer buttons, so the mapping is not quite as good. But, Wingman lets you remap on the fly, so I was able to get it working how I wanted. Great product, and I love Brook for this stuff! Their retro fight stick board is amazing too.

Excellent converter.
Excellent device to use modern controllers on retro consoles (Saturn - Dreamcast). Basically zero input lag and DC memory card storage space makes it great.

Works with PS3/PS4 Thrustmaster T80 wheel on Crazy Taxi
I tested functionality for the PS3/PS4 T80 controller, and everything seems to be working! I have my T80 in PS3 mode and the Wingman SD in gamepad mode, which can be reached by pressing Share + Triangle. Ensure the LED indicator light is permanently green. Check the manual for more button mapping information. Gas, brake, steering, select, and back are mapped correctly.Update 9/1/2022: Upon further testing, the Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas 4 also works through the adapter for use with Afterburner II in Yu Suzuki Game Works Vol. 1. However, not all buttons are mapped intuitively, and would require remapping in software for best use.

This converter is GREAT
I have been looking for the longest time for a way to attach a modern, high quality arcade stick to my Saturn, and this fits the bill perfectly. Easy to use, good compatibility (update the firmware). I bought two so player 2 could get in on the action as well. I have zero regrets.

So good I bought a second one.
I love this adapter, pair it with an Xbox One controller and you have the perfect wireless Dreamcast controller replacement. There is no perceivable lag, it just works. Highly recommended.

Surprisingly good
This thing is incredibly responsive. My only gripe is that the analog stick doesn't work as well as it should. For instance, in NiGHTS, where you have to make subtle charges in flight, you're going all over the place with a PS4 controller. It's like I'm on a skating rink. With that said, it's interesting how much better a PS4 controller is than the old Saturn pad when it comes to the buttons. PS4 is -way- more responsive. They react quicker on screen and you can hit them in rapid succession quicker. Of course, my saturn controller is probably 25 years old.

M30 setup
I bought this on Gunnermans review, it actually works pretty great. I got confused setting it up as it's not just plug and play. You set the m30 to switch mode, dont plug it in. Instead hold the button on the brook adapter until it blinks rapidly, then turn on the m30 in switch mode, then hold the sync button on the m30 until it turns off and on. Should be set up when the p1 light comes on.

best this to get for my fighting needs
i have about seven fight sticks with all different set up from 360 to custom pcb from brook. and i can tell you that this unit is the best thing to come out for the sega dreamcast. also the memory bank in it of 200 block is also good feature to have if you don't have a vmu. if your looking to get a budget optional then building a another stick for that console only. then get this, you won't be disappointed
