Professional Series 2-Slice Toaster Stainless Steel

Not perfect but none of the toaster reviews I read from any toaster at any price were. America (or any country) has forgotten how to make a high quality toaster like those from the 50's and 60's, but for only 20 bucks for this one it's hard to expect much. Does it toast evenly? No, I have to turn the toast around in the middle of the process or one side is really light, then the toast gets shot out the top usually onto the countertop, so I guess I am complaining. If someone could bring back the Sunbeam style toasters of old that dropped the bread down slowly and then brought it back up slowly all toasted to perfection, crap companies and their products such as this one would be out of business! I would have gladly paid more for a toaster but as I said not even the expensive ones got consistently good ratings so why not just go cheap. I do give this one high marks for styling to be somewhat positive. If only it worked as good as it looks.

I rarely review things (unless I love them or really hate them) but this one deserves a review. It's a very modestly priced 2-slice toaster, and I first encountered it at a VRBO where I was staying last month. It's like the toasters of old: all it does is give you a piece of toast, quickly and evenly toasted, and no elaborate choices to make. It does have a bagel setting and the slots are wide. The toast level controls with a dial. I was particularly impressed by the speed and evenness, since this is replacing a more expensive one that was neither fast nor even. Highly recommended!

Every 50 - 100 times you use it a piece of thin-sliced toast falls down below the rack to the bottom of the toaster. Even after the crumb tray comes out the toast remains lodged in the bottom. It takes 30 minutes of tedious work: cutting at the toast shaking the toaster, etc. before you can get it out. This is a huge design flaw and overshadows minor flaws like uneven toasting and ejecting the toast like a rocket when the toast is done.

At first all was well. But after about a month 1 side of bread toasts faster than the other. Not as bad as my old toaster but still not what I expected.

yes, this is an inexpensive toaster, BUT STILL!!! It should function for more than a day. It started toasting ( or not toasting) at random, some spirals work, others do not, some sides burn, others are luke warm, and its not constant, as if the evil leprechauns inside arbitrarily turn heating elements on and off randomly.regardless of the setting, 1 side is either partially or fully burnt and this is using standard avg thickness bread slices each time. Never had this issue with our previous Oster Toaster ( but they dont make the model anymore).contacting Amazon yield only a silly response - you are connected to a "troubleshooting Tech Support" in India, and they try to troubleshoot a problem with you over the phone - i had to hold my laughter and go through the process of a young man explaining ot me how to slowly insert a slice of bread into a slot, and slowly depress a lever until it reaches a fixed position, then patiently wait for it to turn off. ( NOT KIDDING). As another option, they refer you to the manufacturer, but they never respond,e be it via an online form, phone message or a direct email.this thing isnt even worth a space at a landfill.F---

The toast comes out lighter on one side than the other. Disappointed, especially since it was well rated by the test kitchen. It was inexpensive so I guess you get what you pay for.

Did not brown evenly. "Pop up" feature doesn't work well. Returned it.
