Vine Smart Wi-Fi Programmable Home Thermostat, 4th Gen, Compatible with Alexa

The instruction were pretty straight-forward and easy to follow. I was worried about the WiFi setup but i had that done in about 3 minutes. What i liked the best is that the iPhone app was quite easy to maneuver in doing the fine settings of the thermostat. the only problem was when i was asked to select 1 of three models that was purchased (Models TJ610A, TJ610B, and TJ610E....I have a model TJ610D....obviously the app was updated to the "E" and "D" was no longer.) So I chose the "E" and it works just fine. I like that there is a Nightlight along the bottom of the Thermostat that can turned ON and OFF by using the touchscreen or the app (though not very bright in a dark hallway. Yet, the unit was worth the money and I am satisfied.

Bought this thermostat mainly due to the low price and good features on paper but that was a huge mistake. Installation was easy and the device worked okay at first. The wifi on the device would occasionally disconnect and need to be reconnected rendering the "smart" functions useless half the time. After about 40 days the screen started flickering constantly and the device would be unresponsive. After unplugging and replugging it to restart the device it would have issues trying to reconnect to wifi before continuing to flicker again after a few minutes. Tried to find a number for customer support but there's nothing on their website. Only inside a menu of the device can you find a phone number to call. I had to blaze through menus in between flickering sessions to find the damn number. That was a complete waste of time as their tech support was no help at all. They told me I had to find a microusb cable and wall plug to power the device and try to update the software. I did all of that and the flickering still came back. After many hours of trying to fix it I threw it in the trash and ordered a different thermostat from a reputable company. Fair warning to others looking at this thermostat, you will get what you pay for.

It's the last week of May and I am sitting in my too warm living room because the thermostat I bought in March is on the blink again. The screen is flashing like a seizure inducing strobe light. As usual, before it decided to die, the thermostat set the temperature uncomfortably high and then started flashing.I had the thermostat professionally installed when I replaced my a/c unit. It worked well for a month (when the Amazon return window closed) and then began dropping out and turning the screen blank and flashing. The dropouts have increased in frequency and now happen 10 to 15 times a day. Since I can't face a Texas summer with this piece of faulty equipment, I am shopping for a new thermostat today.Save your money and spend a little more for a more dependable product.

Terrible. It will not comedy to WiFi, it doesn’t even seem to accurately display the temp in the house. Would return if I could.

I love the thermostat!!! Actually has saved me money with my electric bill. But I had to call my ac guy to come and install. And I can’t get it to connect to my WiFi.

Very easy to install and operate from your phone. Excellent tech support. Sent them an email with a picture of my furnace and they sent it back immediately with a red circle where I had to connect the 'C' wire that older systems don't have. Strongly recommend

I have yet to find anything i dont like about this product..perfect for price and what i was looking for in a wifi programmable thermostat that also works with my alexa..

Not good. Worked a bit in the first few months, now the screen doesnt work and no answers to email or phone at Vine LOLIts bad. Go with something else:)
