My elderly dog just loves getting up and down independently
If your on the fence because of the costs, Don’t HESITATE !! My elderly dog absolutely loves these stairs. He’s a Dachshund/Chihuahua mixed breed otherwise referred to as a ( Chiweenie ) he has the short Dachshund legs so the rise and width of these steps are low profile enough which makes it much easier for him to use. The stairs aren’t steep at all and do have a wider then usual width and a low rise on the stairs which are carpeted. They are AWESOME and allows my dog to step up or down onto or off of my high bed and the couch independently. Yay no more picking him up to put him up or down. I also really like the fact that they can be made into a steps or easily convert to a ramp if you so choose. Not to mention, these stairs are very beautiful and look more like a piece of furniture with you can choose different colors/stain instead of the typical run of the mill ugly plastic or foam type of pet stair choices. I may order another one for my living room although, they are PRICEY and that’s the only reason I initially hesitated to purchase them in the first place.. However, If I had 2 of them I wouldn’t have to take the stairs back-and-forth from my bedroom to the living room. This is a substantial and very heavy and very well made piece.. I would HIGHLY recommend this product. KUDO’S and thank you so much to the Company for this quality set of pet stairs and more importantly for making my beloved dog safe and happy. Many thanks to the Company and ManufacturerStacia Tutty and Gunnar, my dog.Colorado

The most stable option you’ll find!
These stairs are wonderful! I love how wide and deep these stairs are so my senior dog can go up and down without hesitation.

Deep treads make for a more confident dog 🐕
I bought these steps — which I love! — to replace some very nice wooden steps that I loved the look of.Unfortunately, I learned over time that the treads were just too shallow, only 6” deep, for my dog. She’s a chihuahua but even with her small stride, she felt insecure because she couldn’t stand with all four of her feet on one step. When she tried, she looked like a circus elephant forced to balance on a tiny stool.Because of the short treads, she tended to trip when going up. Going down was worse; the steps were so steep she couldn’t control her descent, and she’d end up running down at gravity’s mercy. The day she tripped on the top step and rolled onto her back, heading for the edge and a two-foot fall — though luckily I was there to catch her — that was the day I ordered these steps. The footprint is big, as you can tell by the dimensions, but the treads are big, which is the point. She can stand easily on one. She can even comfortably *lie* on one. They aren’t too steep. The carpet provides great traction.Assembly was pretty easy; there’s a shallow indentation where each screw is meant to go. However, the markings for the final screws were wrong, about 4” away from where they belonged, so be sure to look at the illustrations before completing the last step.Bottom line: These steps are everything my dog needs them to be. They look like furniture, unlike most pet steps. We just have to be careful not to trip over them because they extend so far out from the couch. Highly recommend.

Sturdy steps, not as tall as expected, had a “quality control” issue
Firstly, the steps are sturdy, easy to put together, they’re a good size, so a medium to large dog can use them without feeling unstable. They fit right beside your bed ( sorry, maybe I’ll add a photo later). My husband stepped on it to “check it out” and it held him fine, no wobbling (he’s about 150lbs). I would recommend these for all the above reasons. They’re a nice color too, the carpeting on the steps looks like it’d be easy to clean, if you have a hairy dog. Can probably cover then with dog towels if you needed to, but mine are for the bed, so my dog does not get on it unless it’s bedtime, and she’s indoors mostly, so she’s clean.I imagine if you had a small dog though, and a high bed like I do, the last step and onto the bed, might not be high enough. It only reaches the bed frame, so the step onto the mattress (and a bit of height from the box spring) might still not be enough for say, a toy breed, chihuahua, or tiny dog. I’m thinking a corgi would be fine (Mine is a Brittany spaniel mix). That said, here’s the reason for the 4 overall stars (though I gave 5 stars for the other ratings): it took longer to receive than the rest of my order because it ships separately. No problem. When it got here, the steps had two pieces of the same part, so we could not assemble it. We had to contact the seller, which Amazon makes easy as long as there’s no email to be sent directly to. So that was a useless back and forth, since you have to wait a day or so to get a reply. That’s on Amazon. The seller per say was nice and did a good job overall. They required photos of what’s wrong with it, in order to fix the issue. So it took a week to get the problem solved, via few emails (found the email address on their pamphlet) and another week to get the piece to fix the ladder. That’s a quality control issue, which can happen, but I was not pleased with it.Overall though, the seller was nice though their emails and solved the problem. So from order time to assembly time was over a month. Maybe if I had known I had to go through all this, I’d have chosen something else, for matters of timing (unforeseen issue though). Food for thoughts.

Perfect For An Elderly Cat
I have a cat that is getting up there in age, and she enjoys a bedtime routine where she sleeps in a special cat bed on my queen bed. She's been having difficulty jumping onto the bed lately, so I got this product. I'm happy with the result. It's sturdy, and my cat has no trouble walking up it (not too steep) and good grips. I wouldn't call the installation easy, and you really need a set of really good, heavy duty screwdrivers to do the job, because you are going to have to exert a lot of force to screw the bolts into some of the very tight holes. But it's doable, and I'm happy with the result. It folds up and stores pretty easily too. I'm pretty satisfied with this purchase.
