Jailhouse Cookbook: The Prisoner's Recipe Bible

Sent it to a friend that’s incarcerated for their birthday. They told me that all the recipes call for things that you can’t get in prison unless you were in the prison the person that wrote it was from (apparently the author was in prisony land and could get all sorts of different snacks). Needless to say they couldn’t really utilize it very much. I told them to improvise as best as they could.

This book has good recipes that can be made at home or camping out... or in jail... Instructions for recipes are very detailed and easy to follow. I recommend this book for anyone who likes to cook. The author is upbeat given his circumstances and he goes to show that one can make the best of any horrible situation, if one puts ones mind to it. Of course, talent and creativity play a big part....and Artie is a highly skilled chef with lots of imagination. PVW, NC

None of the items are available in state prison. It was a waste of money would not recommend

I sent this to my husband and he loves it! All the guys wanna borrow it and he's so impressed with all of the different types of food you can make from the book.

This cook book is amazing! I love reading cook books, but I have never read one with such detailed explanations of each cooking process. The humorous, down to earth, decriptions of each culinary accomplishment is entertaining reading.
