Some good stuff but a collection of individual chapters rather than an integrated textbook.
Very interesting, thoughtful and helpful guidance. But it isn't a comprehensive textbook it is a collection of chapters by individual authors/ co-authors that almost read like separate papers. It doesn't contradict or clash with itself but neither does it hold together as a well structured integrated textbook might. This is the first edition reprinted, so unchanged from 1991 which also makes it nearly 30 years old. The type shows its age.Personally, notwithstanding its strengths in its theory, I have found it expensive for what it is - a 29 year old collection of discreet chapters.
